Best looking woods and hybrids they’ve made. Not a fan of the iron profile though.

I play PXG irons and played a PXG driver a wedge in the past. Is what they’re putting out in these short cycles really any better than previous generations? That was one thing I liked about PXG is not putting anything out unless it was a much better product than the prior generation but lately it seems they’re just pumping out new lines every 6-8 months!

They don’t look as nice as GEN5 Irons to me. The badge just looks tacky and even more so in the Black Label Elite.

Luckily the release has made GEN5 BLE affordable to me now so the order is in and they arrive tomorrow 😬

I don’t change irons often and the performance of GEN5 is so far off the charts compared to my current irons.

Excited……

Woods better come with it this year. They can’t keep staying behind the big boys in the driver and fairways department. I can’t wait to try it out in a fitting.

 0311P looks like less offset?

Narrower soles?

Killer look for the P model

I love the new gen6 head shape, but GEEZ, why can't they just do what 99.9% of people ask for and make the satin clubs ALL satin, and the black ones ALL black?  You've got the screws and plates to do it, sheesh....

I think I'd have an issue looking down at the sole of these in the bag, with the 2 different colors....just looks...weird.  at least last few gens weren't so noticable in the bag

Hopefully new 0317 line will be a lot cleaner looking.  I love PXG, but the Gen 6 irons just do not do it for me looks wise.

My Ps arrive tomorrow. Fitting info was in the pre-release thread.

long story short…

compared to my gen2P (x100amts soft stepped once)

12yards longer

>30% better down range dispersion

6k spin with 48-50* decent angle (7i) going 120’ apex.

Miles more forgiving (especially on the toe).
Unreal protection of launch conditions on that miss.

Had 3 fittings in a 2w period with Mizzy 223 pro and Mizzy 225 pro being the best at the other 2 fittings. Those clubs beat my currents by a bit (mainly just being more consistent than my currents with better spin/launch but only the 225 was longer than my currents). 223 great club. Felt as good or better; launch and spin way too much and less forgiving toe side.

No comparison at all from this to the 225; pxg way better (The other fitting I contemplated buying at completion). Faster, longer, more accurate, tighter front to back and right to left. Felt and sounded better. Could nail my swing weights (this can’t be understated if you are longer or shorter than standard) with no issue (mizzy we had to either change the shaft to something lighter or accept a club a bit heavier than I wanted tbh). Loved the 225 till I hit this.

Hands down winners. Also dominated the gen5s, particularly in terms of how consistent the launch/spin/ball speed was on the toe miss.

Real winners. FedEx says tomorrow. Can’t wait.

The driver and 3 wood are the best looking they have ever made, IMO.  However they need to get the ball speed and distance much closer to the top 3-5 out there.  Mizuno and Srixon have made big leaps this year and PXG needs to keep pace.

Hit most of the Gen 6range. The big advantage over other brands is that swingweight control, especially in the irons. Making the heads a fraction lighter really improved the contact. Also with all the other changes that can be made, it's amazing how much difference a proper lie fitting makes to the quality of a strike. Obvious, but so important.

P Irons felt great. Numbers were really good, dispersion was exceptional, I could have thrown a blanket over 75% of the shots. Spin may have been a little low, but there was a ball situation on that front. Very clean look at address, although I can really see the lineage to Ping irons with their shaping and hosel transition at address- in an ideal world I'd prefer the shaping to mimic Mizuno, TM, or Callaway, who I tend to find nail the shaping of an iron just a little more. I will say P is more compact than previous generations, and it seemed like less offset too. We settled into a shaft pretty quickly, although there was a lot of other options available.

I liked both drivers. But preferred the 0311. Deeper face, more compact looking than a lot of drivers this year. I really wish they would do away with the crown markings but I feel the same way about every manufacturer. Solid out the centre, quite harsh feeling on hits high in the face, but numbers were still good. Again, the ball used was a bit of an issue, so I found I had better results when we turned down the loft as spin seemed high. Lots of shaft options, and they didn't try and force you towards upcharge options. The biggest thing I found was how they had different shaft length options. By losing half an inch of shaft length, and adding tiny bit of weight to the head, I was three miles an hour faster with my clubhead speed over my own driver, and around 8mph faster in ball speed, mainly due to a much more consistent strike point, and then building confidence in my own swing to be able to be more aggressive swinging it. As much as the driver numbers were a massive improvement, I actually think I can find similar gains with my own driver with a shorter shaft.

XF driver is bigger at address, a little more draw bias, and seemed to sit a touch toed in before we adjusted the head. I had no issues with the way it looked, and I think this is something manufacturers have finally twigged, that higher handicappers, slicers, or golfers that want more help getting the ball in the air, still want a golf club that looks clean at address. And if it had been the better fit, I would bag it no issues.

0311 hybrids felt great. They naturally felt a lot flatter than pretty much any other hybrid I've hit without adjustment, and the head is very much on the compact side compared to most of the market. I didn't have a good shaft fit, however they were very easy to hit. PXG make really good hybrids.

Man, just got fitted for 223 after using the Gen 3 P for a few years. I need to take back to another fitting after playing a few rounds with them and finding some bad gapping issues. But these look amazing, PXG does a great job with the top line and hiding the size of these at address.
