For golfers with wide feet, it is Skechers.  I was a big supporter of New Balance, but Skechers has them beat.

For me, the carbon sole of the FJ Pro SL Carbon makes it the best shoe. Carbon sole = most efficient energy transfer. They look great and come in whatever your size is (meaning width, golf shoe companies that are not-FJ do a generally poor job accommodating width; some other companies that think they do a nice job with width because of a wide toe box often also have a sock style that is too small for wide feet; and most companies make no wide offerings at all). Pro SL Carbon shoes are technically spikeless but comparing the spikey molded tread to many traditional shoes with 5-7 spikes, the Pro SLs have better traction, particularly in the heel. Specifically, as example, FJ Traditions are super popular but have a smooth sole with 7 spikes (only two spikes in the heel) and can be really slippy on the teebox.

I thought the Ecco Biom C4s were good at first. 

I've worn them and broken them in and they've got even better.

I have three pair that I rotate and have had for two years.

 

I ordered two pair on a Black Friday sale last fall and haven’t even taken them out of the box because my others are still in great shape.
