Drivers What driver stayed in the bag ‘23

My TSI2 with a Mitsubishi Tensei White AV will likely not come out of the bag until the face cracks. I have never used a driver that is longer, more forgiving or better looking! This driver has made the tee balls the strength of my game!

I’ve just demoed the Tour Edge C723 against my Tour Edge EXS 220 and didn’t see much of a change. 
 

I play my driver at 44.5, so I had to choke up on the demo which felt a bit off but manageable . 

 

I found that my spin was about 350 RPM’s lower with the C723, but I’m not a high spin guy, so it went from 2300 in my EXS 220 to 1950 RPMs in the C723

 

I found that I very much liked the 60g HZRDUS Gen 4 Black 6.5, possibly better than my 60g Evenflow Riptide 6.5 CB 

No change for me!

2023 has been a year of testing and buying multiple drivers, Titleist TSR2, Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond and Ping G430 LST. Out of those, two I got fitted for the Titleist and Ping.

The Ping managed to win the battle and its reassuring having confidence in my driver at last

I got the TSR2 9* back at release. I have tried STZ230, S2+, G430 Max, Paradym, Paradym TD and Srixon ZX5 LS.  None of them could out perform the TSR2 for distance, accuracy and forgiveness. I have a Accra TZ5 (current gen) 70g M4 tipped .5".  Now I will be looking for a backup TSR2 just in case something happens to my gamer.

Same as last year, Cobra LTDxLS just adjusted the sleeve. If I can keep the face square at impact 300-315 carry with it. If my face control is awful well nothing is staying in play.

OG Stealth+ with a Ventus TR Blue. That thing has another gear just above center. Just gets out there like nothing else. No need to change. Crazy good combo for me.

Stealth 2+ w/ tour ad iz 6S. May look at going to an X at some point after speed training but don’t plan on swapping heads for at least a few years

Paradym TD 9* with IZ has been incredible. I can't get anything even near as good for me. Thinking of putting a Ventus Red in it to see what happens.

W/S Dynapower Titanium 10.5 turned down to 9 to get some of the draw bias out. HZRDS Red 6.0. It’ll stick around for awhile. Underrated and great value.

After owning a TSR2 and 3, a Ping G430, a Mizuno ST-Z 230, a Paradym, and some of last year's products, I settled on the Rogue ST Max with a Tensei Blue AV 55 stiff. For whatever reason, this thing is long, forgiving, a consistent in my hands. First time in a long time that I haven't been looking for a different driver. I will say that the Mizuno ST-Z 220 was very close to being my starter.

Titleist TSI2 8.5* , Ventus Red tipped 2" @ 44.5". After watching Txgs video and seeing how that moved the strike higher on the face. Gave it a shot and wow. Impressed.

 

Was a tour AD HD 6x before that.

TSR3 8° with GD XC 6x at 45”. Most penetrating flight out of the dozen drivers I’ve gamed in the past. Coming from Rogue LS 9° w/ Ventus black 6x.

I'm in a Rogue Max D 10.5 w/ Tensei Blue 65R. Played the Max LS 9* head last season but the Max D is easier for me to use.

But, on the search of putting a ventus tr blue in for more feel. Possibly even switch to the new TSR line though.

Until a few weeks ago, Rogue ST TD 9* with AD DI 6S tipped 1" at 44.5", loved the look and feel, now the Paradym TD 9* with the same shaft, just two different drivers in terms of feel, sound and performance (for me).

I’m gaming the Paradym TD 9 degree. N/S setting, 10/10 weights front and back. Tensei Blue S 50 at 44.25 total length. 
 

Best driver I’ve ever played. Shaft weight and specs are different than I normally play. I’m usually a low spin, low flight around 70g but for whatever reason, the Tensei blue eliminated those dreaded pull hooks.  Shout out to the White Plains PGA Store who fit me. 
 

played the Ping 430LST with Kai’li white for 2 rounds and did not get along with it. 

SIM 2 Max D for me.  Still very comfortable in the bag

Started off the year with the OG Stealth+ and TM sent me a fargiveness care pack.  Rocked the Stealth 2+ for a minute then moved onto the Paradym TD.  It's a super low spin head for me so I paired with the 1K Pro Blue/Diamana GT and it's been money so far.  FYI, I like to tinker so for a driver combo to stay in my bag for 3+ months is out of the ordinary for me, lol.
