You can say that about a number of the recent releases, gotta remember this is Golfwrx, we truly have a problem with golf equipment.  I would not correlate the number of BST posts with the performance of a particular piece of equipment.

In my case I ordered a subsequent set with a different shaft prior to EITHER set arriving.  I had done some testing and couldn't decide on a shaft and so I ordered both and would flip the loser.  But in continued testing prior to either arriving I have made a decision - too late to cancel the first order.

Or folks ordered with the thought that Ping would be slow in delivering sets (based on recently past experience) and they would be able to sell for a markup.  Ping  began delivering on time and the speculators are dumping their sets.

Not sure I see any prices which you would make a profit after Paypal fees and shipping.  Hell, I got mine at a great cost and still lost over $100...  excellent sticks, but they humble you quickly if you're not a great iron player.

Wait, we're supposed to be MAKING money when we sell clubs on here? Thanks to the IRS and the 1099 mess they keep teasing, I now have a spreadsheet that reminds me of the pain every time I move a club.

They are similar. Little more offset on the CB. Both squared off lines. Both soft. Thinner soles. I’m a CB diehard and sold my BPS to keep my CB gamers. I didn’t think the BPS looked or felt any better.

I had an opportunity to hit the Blueprint S this weekend. I had a golf lesson and was left in the training facility by myself with permission to practice and/or hit whatever was in the fitting bays too. I was surprised that the Blueprint S wasn't THAT much smaller than my i230s. I liked the thinner sole, feel was similar to the i230s, maybe slightly less firm. 

 

The Blueprint T however - those don't inspire confidence. I don't like to look down and have a head that's small enough to make the shaft look bigger. Take that as you will.

Last Florida round today with the blueprint S today and I'm reasonably confident that the iron carousel has finally come to a stop. They are the total package.

I called Ping Canada today and they confirmed that the 120 is not offered as a no-upcharge option (only the 105). 

 

Maybe your retailer waived the upcharge fee?

They are no upcharge at Carl's golfland. You can see what all the shaft prices are on their website.

You're right, though it's weird how different versions of the same shaft are up-charged depending on their flex. 

 

Pray for regular flex shaft users.

Yeah it's really a bit ridiculous. Mizuno and Srixon are leaps and bounds better in the shaft department.

I didn't have a fitting and just hit them at Golf Town with the Modus 105. Can you guys assess the numbers and let me know if they are optimized or what can be improved? Any reason to do a fitting? I tried both the DG120 and UST Recoil on different days but I prefer the feel of the modus.

Spin looks good.  Face shut a bit took down peak height, but increased ball speed.  I would expect a little less distance and a little more height on a straight shot.  Obviously, you would not get this roll out with the a higher launch, which is a good thing.  The real test is to look at your dispersion for a dozen plus shots.  I would assume shaft was a Stiff, since ball speed wise you are right between R & X.  I also presume this is a 7 iron and you are a lefty.  If not, please ignore all my comments.

Descent angle would be low for me, but that is a function of your steep angle of attack and the related low launch. Your high spin will help that a little bit, so if those are your normal numbers and you're still holding greens at all the courses you like to play, I'd say you're okay.

You're right, I'm a lefty and was swinging the S shaft. Dispersion was good and had about 20 swings. Pretty consistent numbers. I am contemplating power spec so that I can match my current wedge lofts of 50,56,60 but the swings were with standard loft. Should I power spec or keep as is? Attached is another swing from the session.

To be clear, I was talking about the balls actual descent angle into the green, not your angle of attack. I am not a fitter, but all the advice I've generally seen is to keep it over 45 degrees.

You actually should go traditional lofts, not standard or power spec.

Your land angle is way too low for this iron.

Would being less steep help with that? I used to be really shallow around -1. Have been taking lessons over the winter, I’ve never seen my AOA be that steep before.

Use this as a reference. Depends on if you want to hit it low, mid, high.
