Ping Blueprint Forged S

Has anyone seen additional demo shaft hit stores for the blueprint s?  The local retailers near me only had 120 x100 and 130x in x flex with rhe new demo tip.  (I was able to hit the i230 with modus 120x).  

I ordered the 120 x100 but really wanted to try the px6.5.  the local retailers didn’t have an eta from ping

I ordered a 4iron retro spec. Going to throw an ADiz 95 in and have it be a utility iron

Isn’t that kinda a weird combo. I530 are like a distance iron with a 42 degree PW.

People combo t200 and t150/100c it's all about gapping and windows and where your distance, descent, and dispersion begin to taper off. Not weird.

I maybe would with one problem…the BPS 4 and 5 iron for me are so easy to hit and the distance gaps are perfect. Whatever they did with the forged pocket cavity works. Easy to elevate and just enough heat

Did you by chance hit the i230? Have 5-P in BPS. Was thinking of going i230 for the 4….

Honestly I hit a demo i230 last year but wasn’t quite right for me. So no I haven’t hit the 4 iron in those.

I wish they had. UW with this set.  Any advice to what may be a good match? Don’t want a Cleveland, Vokey, etc….type with gap wedge loft. Have that in sand wedge and 60 degree.

well, in my experience it's already been "yes". FWIW since i500's release I've had that 4 iron in there with S55 5-PW, never left me disappointed. I see no reason why I won't do the same thing here next month with the i530/BPS setup.

Since they are designed to blend nicely, I think the i230 UW might be a good candidate if you don’t want to go with another glide or the S159.

5 and 6 in the i530 in non power spec may go nicely with 7-pw in power spec blueprint S

Hit the range yesterday and I could not believe how forgiving the 5 iron was. I hit a few thin ones and they flew maybe 5 yards shorter than pure strikes. Can't wait to get these out on the course next weekend.

I was going to echo something similar. Give the long irons a try…they’re more forgiving than they may seem at first hit.

Any shallow sweepers have experience with these? I had i210s that didn't work for me because of the bounce and wide sole. Really want these to work.

I’m 3°-4° down. I’d classify that as slightly shallow. Have no problems with the sole. Do find the mishits to be a little harsh. YMMV

I’m 1 down with a 7 iron and these are the best irons I’ve probably ever used. I couldn’t hit the i210 at all for context. Struggled big time with the sole of those

None at any of my retailers.  Big miss by Ping.  But I hit the BP-S with the basic 120 and discerned what shaft would work best in that head based on years of tinkering.

Ordered a set today w/ modus 130’s. Hopefully here by the masters.

Got a 4-PW set coming my way soon. Hit them at a demo day and was seriously impressed with how good they felt. Went a degree weak for a bit extra height and gapping with my 50°. Ping really did a great job with these!

Anyone try retro spec yet?  I’m hankering for a 47 degree PW,  With retro spec, I assume any offset is nearly bent to “onset”  since going power spec creates massive offset…..

I have power spec and they have hardly any hint of offset. Previous irons were ZForged. And the offset looks the same to me

I loved the ZForged. Had them for 4 years tried a few others in between but they are just a fantastic iron. I haven’t hit the BPS a lot due to cold weather here and at 50 the cold is starting to hurt lol. But so far they feel great, ball fight is awesome and the longer irons I get a bit more launch from them. Impact feel is very similar, nice solid flush feeling with great feedback
