Over the years I have come to realize that looks won't mean much to me. I can remember playing square, white, RBZ and even stage 2 fairways. If they perform I get real used to about anything visually. Sound and feel are different. A driver so loud or odd that flushes birds to the air or turns heads.... not for me. JMHGO

I have access to these soon and will be testing on my trackman against the TRR's, OG SIM an newer Stealth heads. Looking forward to it. Asked for 9* heads in all versions. Cant wait.

Great question. I’ve seen pics of a Tour with adjustable weights (like the LS driver) and a Max fairway. The model Scheffler used which I assume is the core model hasn’t been well pictured. If the fairway naming conventions are the similar to the drivers, the Max will replace the HD which had some draw bias but not an outrageous amount.

Very interesting new design.

 

The weighted screw position in the Max version looks like the exact same position the screw is in with the HD Stealth & HD Stealth 2.

 

So are they doing away with HD and it will be Max, Standard, and LS versions?

 

Definitely a Titleist look on the crown for sure.

Drivers models seem to be LS formerly Plus, core and Max formerly HD. Fairways are Tour formerly Plus, core and Max formerly HD.

This years max looks much flatter and more stretched out than previous years in comparison to the +/LS

 

I feel like in years past while there was a difference, it was much more subtle and the numbers weren't ever all that drastically different. The main advantage of the + models was less draw bias and CG manipulation 

 

Should be interesting to see if they took that approach this year 

 

 

 

Didn't see this thread until today for some reason.  But, this is the first thing I noticed.  The HD version seemed to have an extremely similar if not identical footprint to the standard model.  Not the Max definitely has a more stretched back, shallow shape to it.  

I know a particular low spin player who would love the forgiveness of a Max model but when they've tried the Stealth or Stealth 2 (not sure if they bothered with it).  They were not able to get the necessary spin to make it playable.  Looking at you @LRick

 

I wonder if this definitive separation between the standard/LS and the Max mode will mean that it can reach a new subset of golfers that weren't able to get along with the previous Stealths.

This would probably be my first TM driver I actually give a shot to if I can get over their adapter system. It would also require me buying a new shaft since it's shorter than Callaway's.

The whole “Standard”, “Plus”, and “HD” naming with the Stealth line didn’t make any sense.

 

LS, core/standard, and Max fit in line with industry standards and makes it a much more clear differentiation for which Driver fits with which type of golfer.

I was going to say this in the other 2024 TM thread as well. The TM naming system made zero sense as far as what has been accepted for years by the other OEMs. Using the '+/Plus' for the smaller and less MOI model was backwards.

Hopefully the fairway woods sit open to neutral.  They all look closed to me recently.  If so, a tour 5 wood will be in my bag this year.

Same. Both OG Stealth+ and stealth2+ 3w’s both were a struggle for me. 
 

I think it’s more of a me problem than anything. But something about them just really made them look closed to me.

I always struggled with TM fairways. I went through so many until I went with tsi. Stealth was probably the best one that worked for me but wasn’t the greatest.

If TaylorMade came out with a new driver called "No Name" some here would still complain about it. 🤷‍♂️ As been discussed many, many times I don't care what any OEM call a golf club and I don't care how the sole looks. So far, I have never hit a drive off the sole or the name, just the face. While I envy those that only care about performance and can play a loud or odd shaped head, I do care how my club looks at address. The rest is irrelevant.
