Got my tracking this morning.  Estimated delivery from AZ to Washington state tuesday the 9th.  I hate FedEx.  Wish these manufacturers would quit using them.

I really haven't given them a chance. Played nine holes with them then nine with zx5. From the little I know they feel and sound much better than i525. Slightly longer and very forgiving. These have stock DG Mid 100, so may be a little light for me.

 

The biggest question will probably be would you change if you had i525...IMO yes just due to sound and feel alone. I think they've finally made them to where it won't be an issue....for anyone other than the forged crowd.

At first glance, I was like what is this gorgeous finish.  Stunning iron nonetheless.  How is the feel?  Crisp and firm like 525?

Just got them today and I had to redo the grips to my fave JumboMax STR8 Ultralites, can't wait till hit them tomorrow. When I demoed it, it was not as clicky as the i525. I think this is the better iterations, snazzier than the i500s I once had (that was a very clicky head)

 

Went with the Matte Black AWT 2.0s shafts. Just did some ProSoft inserts into them tonight as well. Deceptively it looks like graphite. Oh, I do have my KBS TGI 95s & 100s ready if I ever need some graphite ❤ in these beauties

 

Yeah, that sun glow was stunning tonight. No more rains. Please 😁 (my2Dogs would understand this perfectly)

Fujikura Axiom 105s shafts.  No fitting for the I530’s.  Last year I was fit for the I230’s, same specs with 5-UW, with the LA Golf 105s shaft. I am optimistic that there will be a seamless transition. If not, to the BST they go.

I had the i500 4 iron… absolutely did not get along with it. Went to a 210 4, not bad, but not great. Went to a 4 crossover, and I pull that thing far too much.

 

Will be interested in how you think of yours related to the 500s.

wow. Exact same specs. Love the axiom shafts in my i230’s. Incredibly stable. 
lmk thoughts on the i530/axiom setup.

Will do. I have the LA Golf series A 105’s in my 230’s. I like them but don’t love them. Hoping the Axioms are a better fit for me.

I love these at the range. Only hit the 8 & 6. Those microgrooves are something - just the nice launch and spin. I am still adjusting going from TGI back to the steel AWTs so the weight of the club in the swing is the biggest adjustment. Definitely not as soft as the i210s that I once had (and stupidly sold)

 

So far, my i530s are checking the right marks for the POP of the ball off the face and launch. Totally love the looks as well - everyone commented how clean & sleek it was with the micro mill lines on the back

 

Compared to my gamers, Cobra Forged Tec Xs these have more pop as well and naturally longer in carry due to the Power Spec lofts. May be the FTX has a touch softer feel at impact  due to full foam head vs partial foam in the i530s. Also tad less offset in the i530s vs FTX.

 

More testing and "getting to know" my i530s...

How do you find the forgiveness vs the FTX? Loaded question, I know.

Initial impression, about same but I need more time. My miss is toe side & i530 handled it fine while at range. May be the push is a little longer than the FTX but to be fair its not loft for loft same

 

Use to think the FTX was jacked but Ping rewrote that book 😂

Made up a 7 iron i530 in the auto-flex; they’re going 175-180 in the air vs 155 with i59 7 iron.   For me, an incredible improvement.

Ordered mine March 19th, they were delivered April 7th.
