You're average golfer probably loses 2 or 3 sleeves of balls on the Stadium Course...nevermind the X they take on 16 when they dump their approach in the sand.

 

Meanwhile, a pro...oops, amateur...just shot 12 under, with 10 birdies, an eagle and no bogeys.  I can only assume he didn't rinse a ball.

 

Yet people keep on insisting that bifurcation would harm the game.

 

I'd say the game already is clearly bifurcated.

Winning score last year won by the Spanish guy who went over to the other side was -27.  Young ND is already at -27.  His journey through pro golf is going to be one fun ride.  20 year olds shooting -12 at a PGA Tour stop.  Who does that?

I always laugh at what some of these golfers wear when it's "cold". It's 55 degrees, do you really need a winter hat?

I'm curious about how the pairings are determined.    I thought it was first in/last out?   Hadwin was finished while Cole was on hole 17 and Kim on hole 16, but they are both in the penultimate group, with Hadwin starting later.  Does it work differently when they are on different courses?

id get dehydrated almost, no way in hell can I walk and have a hat on like that at 55.

Its infinitely-furcated. Everyone has a skill level. We don't need any other variables.

I know MW Lee gets a lot of hype, rightfully so, Kevin Yu is another 25 y/o to keep an eye on - elite ball striker/terrible putting stats last season, hopefully he can fix the latter. battled injuries last year to hang on to top 125, he could finish top 50-70 by the end of year if can stay healthy.

In general it's first in at a score they are last out. It may be different when playing across multiple courses. From Golfnewsnet.

 

How PGA Tour tee times, groupings determined for third and final rounds.

 

After the first two rounds and a 36-hole cut is made, the PGA Tour then determines pairings based solely on score through the preceding round. The lowest combined score from the preceding rounds goes out in the final pairing with the next-best (or tied) player. In the event of ties, the player who finished their round first goes out last (first in, last out, or FILO).
