Wow, these look phenomenal. Love that they kept the W and S on the badging on these, and I also really like the rounded edges. Eager to hear some reviews! And fingers crossed they have a lefty demo at one of my local shops.

A lot to like here. A little chromey and the leading edge seems rounded, but I can't wait to try these.

 

The Nike Vapor design seems to be popular these days.

Very nice. Does anyone know the lofts? I’m assuming ~30 degree 7 iron. But they don’t have them on the website, yet.

I am sure they are similar or the same as the D9 Forged, which are a 30.5* 7 iron.

That is interesting.  In the other Wilson 2024 thread, it seems consensus that the badge will be blank across everything.  These in hand pics look to be not just prototype, but actual sellable models.

 

Also shoutout to @eric61 for showing interest in testing just about every product coming out in every thread on this entire site.  WRX dedication like no other lol. 🫡 I salute you

Hahaha. Honestly, this is what I do! I love testing out the new gear every year. Do I think it'll make me a better golfer? No, of course not! (Though I do believe that incremental improvements add up, and every few years, with stuff that fits you well, there are small gains to be had.) I just really enjoy checking out the new stuff, seeing how it performs for me, seeing what's different from previous lineups, and so on. It's part of the fun of the hobby for me.

 

I'll also say, being in the Chicago area, the Wilson folks here are good about participating in demo days and having a pretty good fitting cart with their irons with varied shaft options.

With its Staff Model clubs and balls, Wilson updated its classic shield by removing the “W/S.” But Dynapower is a different branch of the family tree and, for now anyway, is keeping the old shield.

“The W/S has its heritage,” says Nodwell. “But you can see where we’re going in the future. The new shield is a bit more modern. It’s going to be our new, major-winning shield.”

I really wish they would chrome over the slots on the longer irons and keep the classic look in the bag...otherwise I think they look pretty good.

Totally agree. You'd think at this point there would be some sort of technology they could use to replace those, or even just paint them chrome. But other than that they look fantastic. What really matters is how they look down by the ball I guess.

Love the profile of the toe. IMO Too many irons today have the big rounded toes. Good job Wilson 😊

OK these look better than I was expecting after seeing the initial pics when they were announced. I prefer a slightly bigger iron, but I'd hit these in a heartbeat.

Good gravy. The folks at Wilson can't seem to get out of their own way. Making this way more complicated than it needs to be.

Could be glare, but it almost looks like the polymer is pulling out of the slot on the 7 iron already? 🤷‍♂️

I have a 3 iron ordered to play as a little bit of a driving iron. 2* strong + 3/4” with the recoil 105. Should be fun. New staff blades show up this week so the bag could be pretty heavy on Wilson. Played fg tours about 10 years ago and haven’t touched one since. Looking forward to them. Will post pics and reviews!

I just took a look and it is a reflection in the photo, polymer looks perfect on it!

This is the replacement for the D9 forged right? I swear those with the VSS felt almost as good as my New Levels with graphite in them.
