Amazing! He listened to Rory. I hope he thinks a bit less and just putts like an athlete with the mallet, which I think takes some getting used to. Free flow, can’t get worse and nothing to lose!

I don’t have a perfect memory of the lamkin, but I would say it is a touch longer front to back, touch narrower side to side.  I really like the way the left hand feels, but the right is a little too small for me.

Did Scottie ever game a Nike putter? I remember him playing the 3 Wood. I think he will find it in a method putter.

Scottie has used the TM Spider in a few tournaments before. Its not really a new putter.

So it's made out of some super secret material with an individually crafted shape or something that only Very Special People can get access to? I mean, I can see putters, or irons, or drivers being highly customized for some pros, but c'mon, it's a flippin' putter grip.

True I know he used the proto for a bit. Now using pure roll face which he said he hated feel of before. It’ll be interesting !

Isn't the only thing Scottie hasn't changed, putter wise, is the plumber neck? I do think the problem is in his head, but since he's changed everything else about his putter, why not the neck style?

Totally new putter.  Roll face insert, weights in rear and not floating face.  The proto he used before was much like a blade.  The only way this putter is like the previous Spider is the plumber’s neck.  He even went from a red star to a green star grip

Came here to say this. I think it’s time. Helped Adam Scott finally get a major. No sense in being proud about it. I’m guessing he’s tried and it didn’t work. I don’t know the man needs to get some confidence back. I’m rooting for him. If he’s an average putter he’d be unstoppable.

He's got a slight out to in stroke, from what I've seen in limited down the line views of his stroke.  So the X will hold the face open a touch longer and "by the book" will help.

 

However, He's going from a putter with a ton of toe hang to one with almost none. I can see him hitting pulls with the X because the toe won't open on the backstroke like he's used to.

 

I think, with this putter, he's going to see flashes of really good and flashes of "I don't feel this is any better".  He really needs to be in a slant neck in that head. But he likely has visual issues going away from the plumber's neck. 

He sucks at putting - there isn't a putter on planet earth that's going to fix it.

Adam won the Masters using a Cameron putter, not a L.A.B.

My bad. Didn't realize that. (I never use GP grips, know nothing about them other than them come stock on seemingly every OEM OTR club you order, and they chew up my hands and gloves.) Thought they were trying to do a sort of Scotty Circle T thing, but with grips.
