Most Unconventional Swing on Tour with most results

This is the opposite to a thread on here, so I'll figure I'll start this one up.

My pick: Furyk, obviously.

JB Holmes looks like a drunk 20 capper, as well.

Not sure if serious. JB Holmes swing is pure. I nominate Webb Simpson. A major and 3 other wins with an extremely cupped left wrist and open clubface in transition is impressive.

Spieth, easily. At least Furyk has an athletic move through the ball.

Charlie Hoffman's high on the list, too. You can't have a mullet, wear a trucker hat, AND take the club back halfway with a cut-off follow through. Just zero integrity

Personally one of my favorites, if not my favorite swing, but Couples' swing is pretty wonky.

Someone could also make an argument wrt to DJ's swing. Though it's not so much unconventional as it is impossible for most mortals to reach those positions he can get to.

Seems like a lot more guys with unconventional swings did better than guys who had swings like Adam Scott. BUT imo it wasn't their swing but rather their short game that made their careers stood out.

I interpret the op as what is the most ugly swing which has made a ton of money in pro golf. So id go with furyk and john daly. Astonishing how good jd can play with that backswing

This is a hilarious thread. Most of these ugly swings are from some of the best ball strikers on earth. Proves that there is no ugly swing. As long as it's yours and it works . But the teachers of the world are not going to let that be told as truth .

And I chuckled at the mention of Spieth. Wow. His has to be the prettiest of all the ugly swings. The hate for that guy is so strong. He's doing alot right to garner than much hate.

Just a guess, but his short Swing is probably some of the reason for his consistent ball striking. I think it's a thing of beauty really, looks extremely repeatable on full shots. Less backswing = less potentional for variation on the downswing and point of impact.

I have not paid close enough attention to how he performs on his 3/4 or 1/2 shots... probably requires a lot of feel in his game, or possibly slowing down his swing speed

Allen Doyle. Didn't turn pro until he was 46 but won three tournaments his first year. Also a 4 time major champion on the Champions Tour.

I think spieth has a great tempo to his swing, and he almost always finishes the follow through. His biggest problems are with his driver, and not squaring the face consistantly at impact... I mean he misses is both directions. But his iron game yields #1 for green in regs for most of this year
