So if I compile this thread sounds like the 410 and Max are very close?

410 lower spin, launch and sits way more square then the max.

    410 way better

Yep to both previous comments. I found the 410+ to launch lower and spin comparably to my G400 LST so a decent amount less than the Max. During my G400 Max experiment last year, I couldn't get the Max to spin anywhere close to my LST. Some of my playing partners use the Max and their swing needs the spin and it is a rocket. All depends on if it fits.

Absolutely loved the Max and will by another at some point, however, the 410 has a few things that have given it the edge in my opinion.
    1. Flat lie angle has helped me start the ball on line or to the right.
    2. Adjustability. My swing isn’t the same every time I go out. The weight works.
    3. Spin. Definitely lower spin. I’ve hit a couple of dead ducks (my swing issue) with the 410 and that never happened with the Max. That sounds bad, but it reassures me that the spin is down which cost me some yardage with the Max. I feel like I can go after the 410 and it will give me a nice mid launch with low spin that just gets up and goes.

I have no reason why other than I am a club junkie, but I got rid of my G400 Max 10.5 with the Tour 65 shaft. I played it both stiff and X stiff always set in the Big -. By far the most accurate driver I ever owned. I am a serious low spin player with the driver and the Max gave me numbers in the 2200 range on a consistent basis. I just ordered a G410 plus with an Evenflow Black 75 stiff shaft. We'll see how it compares, but I just can't get the performance of the Max out of my mind. The 410 has huge shoes to fill.

As a high capper I didn’t like the 410 and went back to the 400 Max.

I am a 9 handicap and went back to the Max a couple weeks ago and loving life again. The 410 just didn't work for me as well. I swear I am not switching back anytime soon. FYI Tour AD TP in this head is insane.

I loved my 10.5 max with tensei pro white 60 TX. baby fades all day long...as expected as a wrxer, sold it to try the 2016 M2, M4 as I loved the 2016 M2 HL...long story, ended up going back to a 10.5 max but I hit it too high but since the shaft is low spin it goes a long way...really nothing to complain about, very accurate. I then got a 410 plus and some hits were longer but sometimes left sometimes right...not as forgiving. In the search for a lower flight I got a 9 deg head 400 max as well..I played a few holes yesterday but still seemed to go high..took the 8.5 400 LST head ( turned to big minus) from proshop and plugged in my 60 TX Pro white and hit some crazy numbers on my GC2 indoors last night...Way longer than anything ever...will see how it holds up on course later today. I always tell people it is not distance but hitting fairways that matters but look at me....can't even follow my own advice..

Something about the way the max releases. I dabbled with a Mizuno S190 which was longer but there were too many swings that felt good but the ball went somewhere unexpected. With the max the feel lines up with the direction much better, and it’s not THAT much shorter.

I also tried the ST190. Long when centered, but I am much longer with the Max. It just boils down to being able to swing more freely with the Max. I hit the most consistent baby fades with the Max and can really go after it. With the ST190 I was prone to some extreme low hooks.

G400 Max is the absolute best driver I have ever hit. It's the most accurate and most forgiving. I swing away on every hole regardless of how tight it is. This driver inspires confidence of accuracy combined with great length. Mine has the Aldila 125 MSI 70 x and with this combo I'm not having any high spin issues. Get this head put in a low spinning shaft and swing away.

    The Max is amazing.
I didn't get along with the 410, so obviously it's a worse club
In truth though, I think Ping would have sold more 410s (I can almost guarantee at least one more  ) had they kept the same adapter. Is there any benefit whatsoever to changing the tip? It's not like people order additional shafts through Ping directly. It's not like they make a ton off selling adapters. I haven't looked at them closely, so perhaps there's additional adjustability? I really can't figure out why they would change. All I can think is that maybe the tooling was getting worn after a few years of production?
