115X shaft in the hybrids? My back hurts just looking at them.

Interestingly, those RTX4 forged in his bag are nothing like the version I've seen in the shops here. His actually look more like an older model, like the RTX 2.0 (not saying that they ARE the 2.0, just that they look more like that the RTX 4 forged.

I keep hearing that the Srixon drivers are really good but until they can get their number 1 guy to actually play them on a regular basis, people are going to have a hard time believing that they are as good as they say they are.

I get the vibe that he might be a bit of a headcase when it comes to his gear. Not necessarily in a bad way, but the tiniest pieces of lead tape all over the place and things like the trailing edge relief ground into the Taylormade M2 Tour 3-iron kinda suggests that some of this stuff is just mental.

His transition is so aggressive + he pounds into the turf. It’s absolutely mental as you said. But I think he emphasizes feeling the clubhead at the top and also how clubs goes through the turf for him depending on course. How many chunk 1 hand finishes have you seen him hit to birdie range lol. That tiny grind and bit of lead tape probably placebos those misses on to the green

I wouldn’t be surprised if he broke some fairway woods when he goes after them. So much thunder thighs

Love the odd 0.5g or 0.8g of lead just here and there, for performance or effect I'm not sure.

You always read the lead tape only works for swing weight purposes. Yet, you always see things like this, where there is lead tape is certain spots, in varying amounts. There must be more to it than just swing weight.

They look like some kind of one off. the sole is similar to the Z-945, but that is not what those are.

Pretty sure they are Z-925s. Japan-only predecessor of the 945s

Hah, agreed. Those one handed finishes have to be purely based on feel given how many turn out fine, a feel that something wasn't absolutely perfect so the shot MUST be terrible.

His bad shot and our bad shot are very different hahaha. On another note, I'd much rather see a one handed follow through in frustration than a Sergio putter into a green or spitting in a cup.
