I was fit at club champion and had better numbers from the riptide SIM combo than my DI M3 440. I don’t know how much was head and how much was shaft but for a no upcharge shaft, you won’t be disappointed.

I wasn’t paying CC prices for a small batch shaft. I don’t know how big of a difference there is but I doubt I’d be able to tell which is which

Can anyone comment on how this compares to Ventus Blue? I'm playing a VB 6-X in my driver and I would love to reproduce that feel in a 3W. Since the Mavrik comes standard with this as an option, it's got me curious. I guess the lower weight could be a concern but if the profiles are similar then I could possibly get along with it.

I got a chance to get on a TrackMan with a Callaway rep today to try out my TS3 with my current Evenflow White 65s and my new EF Riptide Small Batch 60s against the Mavrik with the stock Riptide 60s.

With my swing speed my numbers will not blow you guys away, so I won’t get into those, but I will say in my TS3 I liked the EF Riptide Small Batch much better than the EF White, the Riptide has a much smaller dispersion. the White is just a tad longer but its get more right than I like, where the Riptide was much tighter down the middle.

On to the Mavrik with the stock Riptide, my dispersion was much wider than with the Small Batch, I was more all over the face with the stock, for me I was able to hit the center better with the Small Batch.

We moved onto the Rogue White 60s and I was able to find the center of the face more consistently again. By the end we put my TS3 with the Riptide SB and the Mavrik Rogue White and they were very close in dispersion and distance all numbers were pretty much spot on with each other. I will probably stick with my TS3 with the Riptide SB as I got a good deal on the shaft so I don’t feel like spending $500 for a yard or two.

I assume with your swing speed you're in the 60/70X?

Ordered my SIM 9.0 with the Riptide 6.5 untipped (non CB). It’s a solid Mid/Mid shaft. Nothing crazy good nothing bad. Spin was a bit high for me so I swapped in a AD IZ 6S. Dispersion is better with the IZ as I hit some draws off the tee with the Riptide (I’m a cut player). Doesn’t make sense as the Riptide is a 6.5 vs a stiff IZ. Riptide kind of reminds me lf the Rogue Black without the CB or as pronounced of a kick (in terms of feeling, I know EI is different). Probably going to throw my Riptide on the Classifieds soon as I’m going all Graphite Design at the moment.

Any one have some recent feedback...have a 120+ ss, w/ a 205g sim head I’m looking for a counterbalanced shaft and wondering if anyone has experience with this in higher speeds.  Spin stay low enough? Would likely plan to tip 1” or so to start.  Have a rogue white 70tx which seems a bit head heavy...not much experience with it yet as I just bought it off here a couple weeks ago.

I have been fitting with both the Riptide and the Riptide CB for a couple of weeks. The Riptide CB has produced some crazy good ball speeds over the typical high ball speed shafts that I usually employ (Paderson Launch, Oban Isawa, Accra FX 2.0, VA Vylyn, Oban Devotion...etc).

Even if you don't like the graphics, I recommend you hit both of these Riptide shafts. Well done True Temper.

Still having good success with this shaft?  With high swing speeds(120+)?  Any idea on how swing weight would compare to a rogue white 130 tx, which is what I currently have.  Haven't played much with the rogue, but thinking this riptide CB could be a an opportunity to save a little money for other purchases.  Have a SIM 10.5 at 201-205g's (w/ the extra weight I could add that I have) so would like some balancing to lower the sw and not so head heavy.  Was launching a smoke yellow at 13-14* w/ 2000 spin....wondering if this riptide would give too much spin.

*No local shops have many options, unless I go to club champion, which I could buy the shaft for the same price as the fitting...

Ventus wannabe?   Fuji Pro 2.0 TS a little more suitable?

I hit the Riptide outdoors as it was the stock shaft with my Mavrik standard. I hit the 6.0 60g.

Not impressed. It's a very 'crisp' shaft and when I hit the ball it didnt give me the smash feeling of all my other Fuji shaft. I've never been a fan of PX shafts - they all feel like hollow fishing rods due to the layup they use (to me).

I swapped it out for my Motore X and that has won out.

I agree. I hit it in a mav SZ, and didn’t like it either. Felt light to me in the head. Not sure if that had to do with the balance point or what. But my spin numbers and dispersion were significantly higher in this shaft vs the smoke black, which is in my 3 wood, and Aldila white. Ended up with the Aldila white
