What putter did you just buy ?

Been wanting a tour putter from bettinardi for awhile and finally pulled the trigger.

Just bought this son-of-a-gun yesterday. Used. $49.

 

Putted with it in the store for about 20 minutes and surprisingly, not bad at all. I say surprisingly because the only reason I picked it up at all was the grip. Brand new S.S. "No Taper" counterbalanced grip.

 

I figured if I hated the putter I'd get the grip taken off and have a $35 grip and either toss the club or re-grip it and try to sell it on the bay for,,,,,, whatever,,,,,,,

 

So I took it to the practice green today,,,,, and it worked very well. Now I'll have to keep trying it for a while,,,,,,,,,, :russian_roulette:

I picked up a Scotty Studio Stainless Newport Mid belly putter a while ago and recently gave it a try. I'm not a plumbers neck guy but the belly version has a longer neck which gives a less unobstructed view at address. Cut the original stepped shaft down to my playing length of 36", put a 125g Lamkin Sink round 13" grip, adjusted the loft and lie, and it's been pretty solid. Great distance control, nice feel with its 375 gram head and very light face milling. I have a Scotty Mid Sur Pro Platinum I may try the same way as well.

Just picked up a new Method 001 and a Method Drone 2.0. I have always player an O.G. Anser. I wanted to try something with a more modern face and a non-Anser style.

Um, well, I bought 5 today..... Not sure if any of them are worth anything but I paid $20 for all of them. The SS on the Daisy is a cut off that I can just slip on anything. They had another 6 or more Acushnet's but I wanted to get one of each, so there is a heavy, an offset. First time using a "bullseye" style in about 30yrs and I am liking them all.

Bought a Byron Morgan 8812 of the BST here and have had it out for 2 rounds and it's just a great fit for me. Only one 3 putt through 2 rounds which is quite a difference from my normal putting performance prior to it. Love it.

Stopped at Golfballs.com and Picked up a Scotty Cameron inspired by David Duval in very very good condition for a song (hint: I can't sing). All original. They had the headcover but it seems as though someone walked off with it.

After a SAM putter fitting, went with the Bettinardi Queen Bee 6. 33.5 inches, 71 degree lie, 2.5 degrees of loft. Should have it in my possession Monday!!!

I just bought my LaJosi Sensor. I played all of last season with a Scotty Cameron Select Newport 2 Mid that had been cut down from 38 inches to 35 and I started this year with it in the bag. However, the head was way too heavy (about 400 grams) and I was pushing lots of putts that were inside 6-8 feet right of the hole. I tried adding a 60 gram counterweight as well as a Pure Grip Big Dog to counterbalance the club but the head was still cartoonishly heavy. It was a weird putter because on the one hand, I'd never rolled in as many birdies from outside 10 feet as I did with that Cameron. However, I've also never missed that many short putts and that got maddening. I went back to my Bettinardi BC1 but I've been wanting to play a LaJosi for a long time so I gave myself a wedding present.

Was looking to try a Yes! Callie, found an auction on eBay for 3 Yes! putters, a Callie, Tracy2, and a Marilyn with a BIN for $49!!!

 

They were used, no headcovers, and need grips, can't wait to try them out !
