350g carbon with sound slot, original finish was wearing so I gave it a naval jelly bath and steel wooled it to even it back out.

Picked up this used but nearly mint Select Newport 2.5 at the PGA Tour Superstore the other day. It had been freshly traded in and they cut me a good deal on it. There was an aftermarket black shaft on it which gives it a unique look.

 

Very nice. I’ve never seen used Scotty’s at PGA Superstore. Have to keep my eyes peeled next time.

My local store always has one or two used Scottys at any given time. Finding this putter was a bit serendipitous, however. I had been in the store a while hitting some putts with a used 2016 Bettinardi BB1F when one of the sales guys asked if I wanted to try the NP 2.5 that had just been traded in. They hadn't put it on the floor yet. He saw I liked flow necks with how much time I had spend testing the BB1F and thought I might like to try the 2.5.

After countless putters, think I have my gem. Original SD 1.5 in gun blue with a smooth Cameron pistol. Mint, fells amazing, milling is awesome on the face and cavity. Truly got lucky on this.

This is my latest pride and joy from Scott Readman Concepts. Scott is a joy to do business with and always comes up with the good stuff.

 

This is a 350g blade made from a funky material called COLDUR A. (From Google: Coldur A is a high copper alloy that is renowned for its combination of strength, corrosion resistance and for its attractive colour. It is known as a high silicon bronze.) The word comes from the German meaning 'all mighty and powerful' - I kind of like that ha ha.

 

Scott hand peened it and it looks absolutely gorgeous. It has a matte black shaft and black leather stitchback grip with matching trim. The Headcover is Ocelot with a Laser printed pattern. :-)

So I'm just about at the end of my tether. Since the anchoring ban it's been pretty dire, nothing catastrophic just endless two putt after two putt and the odd accident.

So I'm giving the arm lock a try. Despite it looking normal to others, it's a very weird sensation. I need more time with it. Anyway, from the pics it looks normal aside from the massive amount of loft.

Thanks Mike. Unlike a lot of people, I have always found Copper a bit 'clicky' but this one feels more like Carbon for some reason - probably my imagination!

 

It does roll the ball very well - sets up beautifully. :-)

Traded in my Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Dual Balance for a Cameron & Crown Futura 6M with a Matador Large Grip.

 

As of late I have been having issues with distance gauging, inconsistent strikes and overall lack of confidence from the flat stick so I decided to jump on the mallet bandwagon and see what happens.

I just sold a ping cadence tr anser 2 counterbalance. Initially I thought it was a great thing, but increasingly found that whilst it was good for 10-15ft putts, my distance control on long putts was terrible, but more worryingly I felt horrendous over short putts - which have always been my strength.

 

So, like you, I’m back to face balanced and loving it. Picked this up in the used section of a local golf store. Apparently it was only used once and is immaculate! And didn’t pay much more for it than the ping.......which was nice!

Picked up a few old school gems.

A milled Tear Drop Prototype that was owned by an old Tour Player. Don't see these very often and it feels great.

A milled Never Compromise that was owned by the same Tour Pro as the Tear Drop. The Dinero putters that I've seen have stuff engraved on the neck but this one is blank. Wondering if the Pro asked for that. The feel off the face is exceptional. Feels a lot like a Cameron Mil Spec. Pure gamer. If you come across one on eBay, I highly recommend giving it a try.

And last, I (finally) found a Ping D66 Redwood that was in good condition. Been looking for one of these for awhile now but most of the one's I've come across were pretty well used. This one has a clean topline and still plenty of milling left on the face. Awesome gamer.

I've got this beauty on the way, brand new Cameron X5 H-14 with grip in plastic. I've been looking for something comparable to my Lucky 777ch with a milled face and finally got a hold of this gem. I've been searching for one at the right price for the last 6 months.
