Louis or Bubba play these today?

Bubba definitely didn't. Not sure about Louis, didn't see much of him on tv.

It appears Louis put them in play. Ping has updated his irons on their site to "prototype iron." Would be nice if he plays well so we can learn more about them.

I actually like the whole look; very similar to an iPhone, being named "I blade", blasted finish with a chrome font inlay, very similar to the apple inlay on the phone:) all joking aside....I'm sure they will be a very nice iron if it's true they have been working on them for 3 years, I actually like the toe area of sole. Reminds me more of older pings, than slim toe on s55. But to be honest, I've never really looked into s55's to deeply, these just look better than a lot of what I have seen as of late from ping, now how bout a driver head I can fit in my trunk...

I really like the look of these. I will need to get better on the course before I bag these but I will definitely try these out when they are available. Really clean, simple look to them, just like the glide wedges.

These bad boys are so nice looking. Haven't been a huge PING person, other than their bags and a few putters. But recently I put two GLIDE wedges in play (52°ss 56°ss) and I love them. I've been hoping PING would do something even more player oriented like this. I would put these in play tomorrow. Very nice PING.

Agreed. I had a small stint with the anser irons, other than that I have not considered ping irons in well over a decade. These may replace my RSI TPs once they hit the market. Bottom of my bag may be Ping again real soon...

The iBlades would be sweet with a dozen or so little tungsten hex screws all along the cavity perimeter!

Are you talking about club head design or breast augmentation?

Brief stint, I just hit my RSI TPs much better.

RSI TP's were impressive, but I've got the Pingling itch.

I here you man, I do too. These iblades will be purchased once they come out. I see these along with ping glide wedges this fall...

Like what I see. But like many have said, it is completely dependent on the shaft options and Ping finally reducing their insane up-charge prices. I hope Ping finally becomes reasonable but I doubt it.

If I could get 4-P with any of the following: Nippon 125X / C-Taper S+ / PX LZ 6.5 for an upcharge of +$20-25 per club, I would strongly consider.

BQ, the C-Taper in "S+" is definitely available... the other two, not so much... if I'm to place a bet, the iBlade will be $125 a stick (I mean they're just Glide 'irons', same 431 steel, same finish, but TT DG will be stock) and I'll check upcharges on C-Taper for you... edit 5/14: $40 (example is at the moment for I irons)

Will the PX LZ shafts not be available at all, or just the 6.5? I wanted to order a set with the 6.0....

they look like the g glides, soles look wider then other blades and wonder if there going to be cast or milled? idk reminds of the back of a iPhone

well here is Nike's current offering for the same market segment...

can I interest anybody in a set?

If I wasn't an Adidas man, I would bag those just cuz of the blue. For that reason, no Nike product will enter the stable.

Over in the True Temper PX LZ Thread, True Temper says ping is in process of adding the LZ as a custom option, I'm sure in time for the iBlade.

Damn... if those LZs are in fact quiet and not high-shock, that would be a consideration. I love my recoils, but if LZs move without blowing up my elbow... what a combo. I can't wait to hear how these get on.

14 Pings. Blueprints are incredibly good. Fetch is the most underrated putter on the market. Don't @ me.

the finish wears off after 5 hits...then they look like that are 20 years old after a weeks use...

Huh? Are you referring to the iblades?

no the black nike's

Gotcha. Yeah, the Vapor Fly Pro irons finish is awful. My buddy bought a set last month and they already look like he has played them for 5 years. I'm sure the finish on the iblades will be super durable. At least I hope...

Ping would endear themselves to a lot of players if they would expand their "no upcharge" shaft choices to include things like the PX LZ and AMT's. With their buying power the cost impact to them would be nominal. At minimum they should reduce the shaft upcharge to something more reasonable. $40 for C taper and the like is a gouge.

And speaking of gouge,,,er, I mean Gorge, Glide Gorge, I kind of like their cavity treatment better with the Ping name in clear view. Oh well, no big deal though.
