My husband is on a business trip. His out of nowhere pick for the winner was Kevin Streelman. I've had 20 texts this morning touting his brilliance. It won't last, but he's pretty chuffed with himself.

ask him what his pick is on Golden State or Cav's?

Holly Sonders looks like she has aged 25 years in the last year. Wow.

Probably just took off her make up

lots of fake there, including the bolt-ons.

Not criticizing, but, what's with the Fox people all using those microphones attached to their heads? You don't see booth guys on the other networks using them and it makes the audio a little wonky.

Overall, chemistry and coverage much, much better. Azinger and Faxon might appeal more to the knowledgeable golfer than the casual fan, but they're good.

Thoroughly enjoyed that little set piece with DeChambeau doing the math on the stimp meter.

I'm glad they showed Arnold Palmer's press conference from 1994 at Oakmont after he had missed the cut. That was one of the most emotional moments I have witnessed in golf, and to see the press give him a standing ovation as he left just showed how important Arnie was. That was great.

He aged so quickly...for the worst. Hope he makes it through the year. not another like him.

Frees up their hands so they can make hand gestures like the dancing fox football robot.

These USopen.com announcers are really bad. REALLLLLY BAD. Constantly talking over each other, weird silence, bad chemistry all around.

it is bad, talking with the mikes off then coming back on, talking over each other "no no you go"

pretty bad

You guys don't know how lucky you are over the pond.

Golf is a rather marginal sport here in Norway, and our golf channel (viasat golf) has one commentator covering the US Open - a 60 year old high-handicaper best known for hosting a game-show in the nineties.

His expertise does not go very far beyond saying things like "That was a good shot" or "He should maybe have used one more club for that shot".

I'm sure he's a decent guy, but having him cover the US Open, or any pro golf tournament for that matter, is simply a disaster. And I only have access to this channel via their web-based solution, where you cannot change commentator track to American.

So currently I'm enjoying the usopen.com coverage..

I'll have to go for a poor-quality Flash stream with American commentators when the main coverage begins, I guess.. bah

But..... 7fd40e71c7142b09c051edd4e316d865.jpg

oh believe me I am barely paying attention to the audio but it was enough to make me perk up ...video is perfect...

Is Kusileas still having his way with Sonders? That's what, 20 plus years difference? Good on ya, bruh.

Are you kidding me! she's got him by the cojones. She slaps him around if he doesn't make the bed in the morning.... :cheesy:

Very sad to read this about Arnie. I sure hope he is around for many many more years.
