It was on the hole that he hit his shot past the pin and it spun back into the bunker, 17 I think.

On Dechambeau having to go back and hit, I used to think that was a stupid rule that you could not just play your provisional if you find your ball and determine it's unplayable (though this is how it should be played for everyone except the pros for the sake of pace of play). I would assume the reason is that having found a ball that might be questionably unplayable, you'd have full knowledge of where your provisional is. Consider a Par 3 where you hit one that could be lost, so you hit a provisional and hole it out. If you found your ball deep in a bush, you can't give a player the option to just say "unplayable, I'll take the option of playing from my original spot and just mark a 3."

You can certainly argue whether it was a toss or a throw, but there's no debating that he's complained his way around out there today. Just brutal to watch him in a featured group where you get to see every last little bit of it. I kept having to switch it over to Rory/Rickie/Willet. They were stinking it up, but at least they weren't driving me up the wall.

Isn't that the same general thing Phil did a few years ago at Torry maybe? He hit a total stinker in the junk, hit a provisional, and stiffed it and then tried to not even look for his ball and consider it lost? I don't remember if you can technically do it, or do you have to put forth an "effort" to find the ball, even if found best case scenario is that the original ball is unplayable.

i do find it hilarious that shes wearing a single electric pink tube sock for a dress , and my wife just called me a pig for commenting that she looked bad.... i mean can you wear a "look at me " outfit like that and still claim to not want the critiques? why couldnt she report on golf wearing actual non "club hooker" clothes ??? be careful answering that ...it is indeed a loaded question !

I've always been a big Holly fan, but she looks so much older than her actual age now. She needs to spend much less time on the tanning bed. And you're right about the dress. Something a little more classy is in order.

Looks like it should be clear around 5:30-6 PM at which point they could probably get in at least another hour and a half of golf before darkness, but they are then going to have to turn around and be ready to hit by about 6:30 AM which is a pretty short turnaround for the guys that would be starting the afternoon rounds and they risk the another system coming back in to disrupt so they may just call it and do 27ish tomorrow(for the guys who haven't teed off yet), 27ish Saturday and 18 Sunday. Course should hold up fine. It drains really well and I think it's a bit elevated so that shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Yknow I was thinking that too. The broadcast crew is a little tighter this year. Color is better. But these stupid interviews with Holly have to go. It's the most uncomfortable segment I see by these guys and hell I'm a broadcaster. The questions aren't bad and they can be passed to her by a producer ... but stop the madness. The guests look soooo uncomfortable and Hollys probably wearing high heels so she has to make herself a bit smaller if a guy is short. Ahh ... just a bad segment. And it'll get worse all week. Gauranteed.
