It was in 16 mph wine and he easily lapped the field today with everything on the line. One of the best major performances of all time.

 

Comparative to the field it's better than Tiger. Besides Phil the next closest person is 6 under. When Tiger won there were a bunch of people between 8 and 11 under.

Stunning that the Open begins and ends with 63's. Phil did not lose this, he just got beat, that just happens sometimes.

 

You gotta think Phil would have taken a 65 before the round started. Sometimes it's just fate.

The reality is that 67 was the lowest score of the day before the final group posted 65 and 63
