It was incredible to see how much better Henrick and Phil were than the field. It was like they played a completely different course. The last drive by Henrick had my heart beating so fast thinking it was going into the bunker.

Stenson won it Viking style. Those irons pin high crisp were gob smackingly good. Phil showed his class. I think next year barring injuries it could be a rematch at Birkdale between the 2. Forget Rory. Maybe add DJ in the mix.

certainly was.. but you can attribute some of their best scores yesterday especially with being on the best side of the draw. Stenson even said that. Then of course there is the awesome golf they both put on...I am very impressed with Stenson. Mickelson played awesome but I am glad the better ballstriker came on top.

On a serious note, Henrik is a fantastic ballstriker; it was only a matter of time before he won a major. Now if he can let Sergio and Lee know that it's possible we will have an exciting PGA championship!

Well the only problem with that is when we compare their scores with the 4 or 5 groups preceding them.

Best 63 ever. Final round, you start up by one, bogey first hole and watch the guy next to you shoot 65. And respond with 63? Unbelievable.

 

Waiting for someone to say he didn't do that well because he made two bogeys and only six pars.

 

Also, congrats to R&A, who don't go apoplectic over a score of -20.

 

And maybe they should give medal to the guy who won the A flight, JB Holmes.

I've played troon a few times and how in God's name they shot them scores all week is mind boggling! I can't tell you how hard that back 9 is, it's brutal but they made it look like a pitch and putt! Brilliant brilliant stuff from both stenson and Phil....but I'm glad stenson won just because it was his first - like New winners who have been banging on the door for a while.
