Reed hits a bigger draw than most. I'm sure he can fade it when necessary.

 

As to Kostis' remarks, I feel they were uncalled for, everyone wants to be a whistleblower these days. It's becoming tiresome. If he had grounded his 7i that close to the ball, the ball would have likely moved. I didn't see any improvement at all, he probably just thought he couldn't get a wood on it and then figured out he could. Golf is going to be unplayable on television if this type of scrutiny keeps up.

 

I'm growing so tired of this. Why on earth did they ask DJ if he caused the ball to move if they (the police) had already made up their minds? Our sport was supposed to be different in that you call your own penalties. Then you can run little first tee ads that talk about integrity and honor. If Reed felt like he improved his lie, then he'll call a penalty. If not, then he won't. End of story, move on. If we're going to have other officials call penalties, then this game will become unwatchable.

Tell you what, I've been to 100 Tour events........There are MORE douches out there than you'd ever imagine....And even some that appear to be really nice guys when the camera is on front of them, but they AREN'T!!.....LOL

I had heard that Reed was kinda a d bag but I was impressed with how he handled the rowdy crowd, especially down the home stretch, like a true champion.

I've been inside the ropes at over 500 tPGA our events and there are more Douches outside the ropes then there are inside the ropes. These outside the ropes DB's are the reason the players can come across as douches.

I think the reports of him being able to hit a cut are misreported.

 

I think the fact he can't under pressure is why his major resume is lacking.

 

He got away with several "draws" yesterday down the stretch.

 

He needs to figure out a cut at some point.

You're selling Rickie short. He has five top five finishes in majors (the best Reed has done is a T12), 2 wins in premier Euro Tour events (better wins than 3 of Reed's), and an Asian Tour win. And of course he won the Players.

Seems Bryson was trying to follow in Reeds footsteps but unlike Reed, his golf game couldn't cover the checks his mouth was writing. Totally agree robin. He's the type guy that never gives up. You can't teach that. And the top 5 comment was/is more true than false. I have zero problem with it.

He was asking some fans to kneel so their shadows would fall short of where he tee'd it up. A guy hollered "Kneel down before the master!"

Reed isn't around much at the top of the leaderboard, but when he is ... he seems to close the deal. He clearly isn't out on tour to make friends and isn't going to win any popularity contests anytime in the near future.

 

He's only out there to win as much as possible. As opposed to all of the 'Image is everything', 25 pictures a day on instagram golfers on tour now-a-days, all of the fake 'social' pics on golf channel web page, etc.,

I think I like P Reed more now that so many people hate on him because he doesn't high five or there are bad articles about him. I sometimes wonder if everyone was famous what would come out about them.... I understand people's reasons and accept them as people are welcome to form their own opinion.

 

I think Reed finds a zone and wants to stay in that zone... maybe he is a mental midget and once he is out of that zone he falls apart. Either way I find it funny when people get mad that their kids don't get autographs... but those same people gave Tiger a pass.
