Not sure how people are comparing these to regular spikeless shoes.

 

By the appearance of the sole, these seem to have more spike surface area than even a spiked shoe. Those built in spikes are super aggressive compared to any spiked shoe - yet alone spikeless shoes. Wouldn't shock me if these have the best traction on the market.

 

If they can handle Rory's swing, they should be able to handle anyone's swing on here.

 

Agreed on the swoosh though. That placemention is the only downfall, IMO.

 

 

Spikes have been around for how many years? It's not hard to believe that people are skeptical about Nike reinventing the wheel. I'll wait to see if Rory actually wears them for an extended period of time. I remember how nuts people went over some of the 2016 shoes and he went to LC4 real quick.

I don't understand the skepticism on spikeless. Guys on tour have been wearing spikeless for years. Justin Rose, Ernie Els, Fred Couples all wear spikeless all the time, and many others will wear them on occasion. It's the same with waterproof. You don't need spikes or waterproof if you play golf in the sun and afternoon - especially on a nice course. And everyone on here has more than one pair of golf shoes. Why not just have a dry weather shoe and a wet weather shoe?

I find I think it hilarious and a validation of marketing that people won't talk about the next step down. It will probably have spikes, more traditional swoosh placement and non flyknit material.

I don't see why not. Nike has offered wide shoes in most of their shoes, these should be no different.

Probably just the white and black colors. That's been the trend. Maybe 1 other colorway.

It is gaining almost as much traction (pun intended) as 'forged is better than cast', 'blades are as forgiving as cb's', 'tour only is superior', and '$350 graphite shafts just work better for me'.

These look nice. Definitely want to try them on when they hit the market. I love spikeless shoes and the traction on these appear to be well thought out. If I were a Super I might be more worried about people dragging these on the greens over spiked shoes.

 

I like the placement of the swoosh. Not sure why there is such opposition to Nike trying something new.

 

I hope they have a nice, wide, rounded toebox and a low drop.
