I always find it amusing when people act like Tiger is the exception on tour. I've been to a zillion tour events. Guys cuss. They do it when they are joking around. They do it when they are pissed. F*ck is used as a noun, adjective and verb. It happens.

I'll never forget a couple years back at the WGC at Doral when they came back from a break and were talking about how hard the Blue Monster was playing. The very first two shots they show was on a par 3 and one player hits it in the water and cusses loudly and the next player in the group does the same thing and snaps his club. Man I love golf

I was lucky enough to go, spur of the moment, to the Buick Open in 2006.

 

I went to the 2nd round and was waiting along a fairway landing area on a long par 5. Not sure which hole. Tiger's drive landed about 3 feet from, well, my feet. I had to move back a bit for the ropes and his stance, and Steve.

 

Ball was buried, and he hacked the hell out of it to get it out. One of those shots where a tuft of grass held on to the face of the club when he finished his swing. The ball crisscrossed the fairway and landed in a greenside bunker. Tiger just blurted out "goddamned fairway! Feel like I haven't hit one all day!" Didn't matter though, he parred the hole and eventually went on to win at -24.

 

I thought it was kinda cool to see him have an outburst, get over it quickly and score what he needed to. I didn't find it offensive, but others probably do. You certainly don't see that from the robotic young guns out there these days. I guess it's better for the game, but what do I know.

Nobody had the competitive drive that Tiger had. It's one reason I don't know if we'll see him again. I don't think he can handle working his way back by missing cuts and grinding it out. I believe he certainly believes that #2 is the first loser.

Stacy Lewis gave my 11yr old daughter quite the show a few weeks back at the Meijer LPGA event in Grand Rapids.

The morning that we briefly saw her, she was like school the summer time ... No Class.

 

On the other hand, the rest of the ladies were all extremely polite we saw very little extra curricular conversation after bad shots.
