I like the paint job on the crown better than the current models. Wonder if TM will keep it though with the King Cobra F8 out now, since the crown paint looks very similar to this one??

Sooo... The HammerHead tech.

Is it...

A) Veritical support rod that looks like a capital "I" (with the bridges on the top and the bottom... i.e. looks like a vertical Hammerhead shark's head), to join the sole and top (like Jailbreak)

B) Horizontal support rod that looks like a horizontal capital "I" (with the bridges on the left and the right... i.e. looks like a horizontal Hammerhead shark's head), to join the heel and toe

C) Horizontal support rod that looks like a horizontal capital "I" (with the bridges on the front and the back... i.e. looks like a horizontal Hammerhead shark's head), to join the face and back

BTW: Hate the grey and the color overall scheme. Looks like they not only store JB tech from Callaway, but stole the XR 16 color scheme.

Don't believe this is legitimate, but, if it was, why wouldn't they just call it/them "I Beams" or "I-Beam Tech". "Jailbreak" is dumb as shi*t too.

I hardly think any pros will care about white versus silver in the woods. If the silver is an improvement they will play it. If it takes a while to find “the driver” in silver they will continue to use their white one, just like a number of players didn’t switch from the previous years model until they found a 2017 they liked which often was a switch from a M1 to an M2 and the other way around. Unlike the wannabe cosmetic engineers here they won’t stick with something that is white if a silver one is better.(because it affects their color/contrast sensitivity)

Apparently the M3/M4 have new face technology which helps reduce dispersion. From the story I was told a new hire engineer straight out of university came up with the concept. Exactly what the technology is I don't know but I'm told TM super excited for this driver. The hammerhead slot is re-engineered too so it retains more ball speed on low face hits.

Great info! Any idea on when pics will be released on the M3?

Speed foam like the new PXG driver??

I was told that Speed Foam is used on the driver however it wasn't clear to me where it was placed. I'd love to see the M3 as well. If they go back to MWT like the old R7 clubs this would be an interesting move. My thinking is going back to MWT gives them the chance to have a livelier face than the M1 due to the weight track. But that is pure speculation on my part.

Here is what my club was told...I totally didn’t understand though.

Like someone else said, this driver is all about forgiveness and dispersion. Something was told to the HP that the latest M2 had average dispersion of 12 yards while the new models will have a dispersion of only 4 yards. We were trying to understand what that means but the rep was very tight lipped and wouldn’t even acknowledge it being the M3 and M4. Our guess was maybe dispersion was with a robot.....but then we got to thinking about if it’s a robot, 12 yard dispersion would be ton. Right? Or are we over thinking.

It will be interesting, and I'm interested. However, most of all this is just to create buzz for the incoming club. At this point I just think TM and Callaway will have a "refresh" to their offerings from last year. To me it seems like the Ping G400 and Cobra F8 have shown the most innovation over the last year, but I will admit this is just from reading and seeing what they have done, not from my own personal results. Trust me, I am not brand specific and interested in trying basically anything.

I was told that in player testing of all handicaps dispersion was reduced by a significant margin while retaining more ball speed than previous drivers.

Our assistant was raving about how much better this year's drivers are than the 2017 crop....which was met with a lot of sarcasm and disbelief. Last week the EPIC was the best club ever but suddenly out of date. Yeah.

The TM dispersion information is more relevant than the extra 20 yards... for a heel hitter like me that would be a genuine improvement. I will take fairways and semi rough over trees, jungle and water any day.

So this year TM will be saying that the M3/M4 are the shortest drivers ever built...at least sideways.

BTW: why is it that every time I read/hear the term "Speed Foam", I think of shaving cream?

I wonder when the M3/M4 start getting seeded on tour. I would think it we would start seeing them soon if they are going to be released in Feb.

I had heard at Maui in January. But that might change

Wow, TM is keeping this one really tight lipped. Hopefully we will know something more before then..

[Great info! That means it will start to 'leak' mid-December.

Are you saying TM 'speed foam' may start leaking?.. :taunt:
