Greetings ...

The potential rewards on Sunday for current WGC Mexico leader Shubhankar Sharma

Solo 2nd Place -- Enough Fed Ex Points to apply for Special Temporary Status, allowing for unlimited sponsor invites and Top-10+Ties exemptions.

WINNING -- Can join the PGA Tour and be exempt for most events thru the end of the 2020-21 season. Would automaticly be in the Masters, Players, Open Championship, PGA Championship and official stroke play WGC events in 2018. May reach Top 64 on World Golf Ranking List, making him eligible for Dell Match Play. Staying among Top 60 in the World Golf Rankings would earn spot in 2018 US Open.

One catch (somebody check me on this) -- because the win would occur in a WGC event -AND- because Sharma is a non-regular PGA Tour member, the 550 Fed Ex Points would not apply, so he'd be starting his PGA Tour career with zero points.

Thanx-A-Lot and Enjoy the Final 18!

There should be a tap-in count for each round. It is mind boggling to me how many 2ft putts they show.

Well, they are showing alot of different golfers and setting the stage for when the leaders come through and you see those short putts and know what to expect break and speed wise. lots of 3 footers missed today

The galleries will be heavily pulling for Phil tomorrow so that puts sharma in a tough spot. Whatever happens tomorrow he should be proud of how he played in his first big event. At 21 and with his swing nowhere to go but up for him.

I think -16 is playoff and -17 wins outright. I believe Phil is peaking and his 65 today could have been a 62.

Sharma let many back in. His feel left him on the back nine but nice putt on 18. I hope he pulls it off but he's got some of the best right behind him. Should be fun on Sunday.

Sharma with the RedX Love!

The red headed stepchild of scotty putters!!

Had some of my best rounds ever with that putter :-) makes me wonder why I don’t play the Futura cb :-).

I still miss the feel of the Red X it’s a beautiful insert.

Sharma went to introduce himself to Phil before the third round on the putting green. Phil said not now, how about after the round thinking Sharma was a member of the media. Phil realized his error a few seconds later and said hi to Sharma. Phil was one of Sharma’s idols growing up, now they are paired together in the final group tomorrow.

Honest mistake anyone could make.

Mikey 5 eagles. How’s that 4 wood ?

it's it's only had one chance to prove itself this year so far, being February in Michigan. I hit it a couple times pretty well but not necessarily on the proverbial screw ( of course drivers don't have screws anymore unless you're playing persimmon)

They asked a difficult question. Would you rather see Phil win tomorrow or Sharma. It’s easy to say Phil and I think that would also be my answer. The only thing that makes it difficult is the potential a Sharma win against such elite golfers would do to help grow the game especially in India. I’m still going with Phil because you can see he really has put an effort in this year and it’s been awhile since he has won anything. But Sharma winning wouldn’t cause me any sleep loss.

You know who I want to see win tomorrow? The guy who has what it takes to close out a victory.

On one hand it would feel like a fitting emotional victory for Phil who is clearly pushing very hard, but on the other it would be classic Phil to once again be second fiddle to someone making their own piece of history. I could go either way.
