Got some 639 mb+ and a 699 pro in the 4 slot en route.  Also 286 50,56, and JB 60.  Raw on 56 and 60.  Mb+ won the demo against 639 mb and 639 cb.

Nice!  Post up some pics of the new wedges vs Vokeys and some playing comparison too.  Curious for that.

Yeah, seems pretty normal for WRX though.

Don’t see too many single brand bags on here...just too many options and too many OEM’s that make great products!

I'm oddly only at 4 brands... but Sub70 has been consolidating my bag...

Driver is always going to be a wild card... replaced my Cobra with a Callaway... unless the Sub70 is crazy good, I'll probably stick with a major OEM (I need low spin heads, which is a smaller niche).

Woods - Replaced my Adams 3 wood with an Adams 12 degree driver...

Hybrid - replacing my Adams hybrid with a Sub70 hybrid

Irons - Sub70 for 4 and 5, Adams for 6-GW (Replaced TM irons last year)

Wedges - Sub70 (replaced Vokey and consolidated a brand)

Putter - SeeMore, replaced my Odyssey, which I guess would have matched my driver... this one isn't going anywhere.

I'm actually really happy with my bag right now other than the 2 untested clubs (short driver and hybrid)... I'd love to go full Sub70 on irons, but I'd like something between the 699 and 639s in terms of forgiveness... If they release a cavity back with tungsten in the toe, I might have to order a set... but my bag is pretty much set for the year other than the 3 wood slot.

I just started a new thread for the number of brands in people’s bags since what we’re talking about now has nothing to do with Sub 70.

Should be interesting to see how many different brands true WRX’rs have in their bag!

Really interested in this one for sure! Have the 939X 3-Wood coming in soon, so that should give me a good feel for how the Driver will perform.

Actual pic looks much better then what's on the site.  Hopefully they'll post a pic at address/crown as well.

Also wondering if the weights will be usable, allowing for adjusting weight up and down!

I replaced the sm6 with a 286 and a jb... really enjoy the sub70 wedges...

id say they have less spin than a new vokey but about the same spin as a vokey that’s actually been used...

they do everything I need them to do and I really don’t have any complaints.

I am really excited about their new black coating process but i guess that will have to be ordered next time.

That’s an adams idea hybrid, btw... 18 degree and a great club with too much shaft in it.

sub70 shaping looks about the same, and head weight feels perfect... will hopefully get it on a simulator and show the numbers.

Hit it once, it’s in the bag...

changed around the weights with the heaviest in the middle and the lightest in the toe. I don’t fight the lefts.

Those who have demo'd the irons...can you remind me....are the shafts the KBS tour 120?

I'm looking at demoing the 699 pro and/or the 639cb!

I believe the "standard" shaft most demos come with are the Tour V90s, but I'm pretty sure they can send you other options depending on what they have on hand.  The 699 Pros I demoed happened to come with the Tour 110s, and I ended up going with Tour 120s for the set I bought.

Thx....that's helpful as I don't want to end up with a light weight shaft like the Tour 90, 105 or v90.....it will be a useless demo.  I'll call/email and see what they have and 🤞 the 120 is an option.

You can see the demo options:

https://www.golfsub70.com/sub-70-golf-demo-clubs/demo-irons.html

honestly, my original foray into sub70 was looking at demos, and then I figured for $100 I’d just buy a 5 iron built

to my specs and see how it went... they now have 5/14 slots in my bag.

I called and requested a C-Taper light 115 x flex and they had one in the fitting room. They sent it to me with the other two demo clubs for a total of 3 clubs. The 2 standard demos had Tour 130 X in them. Call them and they will accommodate if possible.

I had not yet read the thread. A few questions. Sub70 irons are similar to? Play like? Look like?

I am mostly familiar with ping g25/g410 and pxg 0211 (2019). What Sub70 models are in this category? Any comparison photos or comparison reviews out there?

I also have experience with Callaway Apex CF16, CF19, TM 790 and Adams Idea Pro Gold forged. What Sub70 models compare?  Any comparisons out there?

699 and 699 pro fall into the distance category... the pro has less offset, but they are basically just hollow head filled with foam. I have the 699 utility and will say I think they are the best feeling “distance” club I’ve ever hit... I haven’t played the 4u a ton but haven’t had any fliers, which are my

main problem with distance irons.

the 639 cavity backs are simply good looking cavity backed irons. I have the five iron. It looks similar To the adams idea forged... I prefer my adams cmbs to the 639, but the 639 are still great clubs. The cmbs are just my favorite clubs... that said, the 639 feel great and I’ve enjoyed having it in my bag.

Their new releases are closer to blades than anything... the ta3s look awesome, as do the 649...

im also gaming the 949 pro hybrid... it was a direct replacement to my adams idea hybrid... it’s awesome.

ive enjoyed the wedges, as well. Feel great and the design is similar to popular wedges... great for the price. I have one of each, and like the jb to open the club face and the 286 for “regular” shots.

Says that toe weight helps diminish face closure so I’ll really put that to the test with my snap hook miss!

I have silverware with a thicker top line. As a 20+, hard pass. Beautiful, but my hands hurt just looking at them.

Played the first round with my 699 Pro's yesterday.

Nothing but good things to say about them so far.

I know this might sound like a dumb question but, do your irons sound ok? I got rid of a set of G425’s because they sound very clacky, if you know what I mean. And I’m also interested in the 699 Pros but if they sound like the 425’s I’d be leery.
