Update; 4/30/19. I ordered the 35” Closer with a double bend shaft. I like a heavier putter and the stock head weight on this one is 360g. I am looking forward to dialing it in for the summer.

I game a stock weighted closer w/ the double bend face balanced neck. Extremely stable putter with a “not too firm, not too soft feel”. Definitely a fan.

My point wasn’t to anger anyone who plays pxg. They are great clubs. My reference was to ping designers who now works for pxg. To anyone who’s feelings were hurt over my comments regarding pxg I’m truly sorry from the heart of my bottom

Still waiting on my Gen2 Closer to arrive. But in fairness, I ordered new milled wedges (SugarDaddy) at the same time, so it will take a little longer.

Update: Wedges and The Closer arriving on 5/21. I will give an update once I have had a chance to take them to the course.

Curious....

Im planning on ordering a Bat Attack putter. Iwent thru the custom order process and PXG is charing me tax? Im in Hawaii, and have never paid out of state sales tax before!

If they have someone who sells their clubs, i.e. a fitter, in the state you're in, they have to charge sales tax...

Love the look of these. Had a chance to demo the closer and the bat attack. Closer had a unique sound due to the aluminum construction. Much like the older futura’s. I would def go all black. If you pick the silver finish, the hosel is still black.

Adjustable necks are only for fittings. Actual production putters are one piece.

 

With customizability of the head /neck / color/ spec / length it would be hard to find the right combination on a used putter that fits you. It’s very easy to find a PXG fitting day or have a rep come to you

It was a joke my friend. Pat Perez driver head came flying off at the range last weekend and it was widely memed and reported on the forums and social media. Thusly, my joke. Nothing worse than having to explain a little jab.

Just got fitted for Gen 2 Mustang. The feel of these new putter faces is magnificent. It came down between the Mustang and the mini Gunboat, but I liked the look of the smaller head on the Mustang.

In all the years I've been on this board no Club maker has generated as much negativity as PXG. And like you I'm sure it's all price driven as I bet you 80% of them have never even hit ANY PXG club.

I think bob parsons is a great salesman. I really like his clubs. I think they feel great. I’m not a pxg hater. More power to anyone who enjoys them. If you think they are better than they are!! I hit them against titlest, cobra, ping, taylormade, callaway. They are right in line numbers wise. Fine clubs.

I’m not a fan of one length irons either. That doesn’t make me a cobra hater. Just not my cup of tea. So to be clear ,,, I’m a fan of bob parsons,, think his irons and wedges are great,, a bit overpriced I feel but more power to bob. Getting paid is what it’s all about!!

That’s great to hear. Wasn’t a huge fan of the previous insert on some of the models it felt/sounded weird to me.

Got my Gen 2 Mustang over the weekend and have to say it's everything I thought it was going to be. Quality build and very solid feeling all around.

Hey and BTW you have 30 days if you dont like putter they'll switch or refund just pay shipping that may be with all clubs now

Best putter I’ve ever owned. Ordered a Brandon with the heal shaft option. That’s right an option. I’m LH and have never had that option with a high end putter since the days of the studio stainless. And I’ll say this, for the money, there is not a better putter made. Even comes stock with the new KBS CT putter shaft. Oh ya, marshmallows off of the face as well and the truest roll I’ve ever seen, regardless of what ball I use.

I called PXG like 3 weeks ago and asked them about refunds since I would likely have to buy blind (not sure if the place by me will let PXG come to fit me or not) and they said no refunds since "each putter is custom made". ....now I'm confused. Maybe as long as I order something 100% bone stock (no change of loft/lie) I can get a full refund?

 

Currently using Ardmore 2 and about to try Spider X but if I'm not loving either, the Bat Attack or Gunboat is on my radar.

I picked up a gen 1 driver (0811 with a Tour AD shaft), and on the second round I used it, the head came flying off. I thought it was an isolated incident, maybe not.

Picking up my Gunboat today. It was money during my fitting. Can’t wait to get it on the course this weekend.
