Koepka defends title; shows charisma with fist pump; glfwrx goes wild

“Today was definitely the most satisfying out of all of them for how stressful that round was; how stressful DJ made that,” said the usually poker-faced Koepka, who had never shown this kind of emotion in any of his previous wins. **“I know for a fact, that was the most excited I've ever been in my life ever there on 18.”**

It would have mattered if I had won or not. I would have gotten cut for embarrassing my wife on national TV! LOL

Good lesson for all you guys, if you do something that results in the folded arms, the walking three steps ahead and clenched teeth, try to win $2 million to distract her. Later on, when you ask what’s wrong and we say everything’s fine...it isn’t.

And DJ got the last two back to back.

The eight

Jack Nicklaus (4 Masters, 4 US Opens, 7 British Opens, 4 PGAs)

Arnold Palmer (2,4,1,3)

Tom Watson (3.2.2,1)

Phil Mickelson (1 he had five thirds and two wins before his runner up in 2015, 6,2,2)

Greg Norman (3,2,1,2 and four of them in a playoff)

Craig Wood (2,1,1,1, he lost in three 36 hole playoffs and the PGA final in 38 holes)

Louis Oosthuizen (1,1,1,1)

Dustin Johnson (1,1,1,1)

If you're wondering, Tiger has never been runner up in the British Open.

Which Scores did he find her at? She did the same stuff at the U.S. Open. Notice she doesn’t have a ring yet, Mr. Koepka is a pretty smart guy, lol....

This is the first I've seen of this clip, but my wife and I were watching after he won and she made the comment about how awkward it was between them. She kept following him around and trying to grab air time. Just embarrassing.

I saw it as a desire for air time and to let other women know that he belongs to her.

Didn't see his fist pump as charisma nor charm but deeply seated desire that led to his winning, again. Good guy in my book.

Same here. My wife said she looked like a little puppy begging for attention, especially because she continued to follow him around when it was clear he wasn't even aware she was still there.

Ha she may not survive this. She should have been hanging back with his family instead of trying to insert herself into the story. So glad that video was posted though. Immediately sent that to my wife for a good laugh.

I'm not sure if there's a capture of it, but their after-victory interaction was somehow even more awkward. Creepy kiss followed by (and I'm paraphrasing slightly) "ummm, congrats I guess."

That’s what he’s paid to do and handsomely at that. If you think you’re better go audition for that gig. Believe me, you’ll have half the people complaining about your choice of words too. It reeks of Monday morning quarterbacking to constantly complain. He’s great at what he does. You’ll appreciate him when he’s gone.

I didn't know self aggrandizement was part of his job description, but thanks for pointing that out. And the "if you think you're better" defense is pretty lame, but I'm sure Jim appreciates you being his fan.

He seems to believe the audience is leaning forward in their chairs with the TV volume turned up to be sure to catch his clever concluding comment. It just smacks of self aggrandizement.

Part of his job is having a catch phrase at every major event. This isnt his first rodeo, he does this all the time yet youre clutching pearls that he would dare do what CBS and his producers pay and tell him to do.

You think thats self aggrandizement? Great, thats your opinion because you dislike him.Its not a fact. It was a compliment to Brooks not to himself.Good god man, dont pull a muscle

Is this self aggrandizement? didnt think so.

or this? click to 4:29..

tell me whats was wrong with any of these? there are scores of these online.

I get this. But I was thinking maybe he felt that moment wasn’t the right time and the last thing he needed was emotional conflict before heading out to clinch the PGA Championship.

I think that there are some men, and women, who do their best work when they are safe and supported in a solid relationship. Others, not so much. But I’m trying to think of an example of a significant other who made an effort to be included in TV coverage who didn’t turn out to be bad news.
