I think so too. Regular tournaments are irrelevant to him at this point, they won't add to his legacy any further. And he has to know that US Open with the thick rough and narrow fairways aren't a great fit for him there, neither is the British Open with the weather and traveling doing his back no good. The PGA was a better fit for him in August when it's much warmer, now it's a bit of a crap-shoot. Which leaves Augusta, for Tiger it has the familiarity, comfort, confidence inducing memories and the warm Georgia weather (it's no coincidence that both of his tour tournaments in this comeback has happened in Georgia). He may think that he can get to #19 with just winning 4 more at Augusta over the next 7-8 years. Which is absolutely foolish considering all the things that will have to go right for him to win the tournament, it may happen once more at Augusta but a very long shot for more than that.

That's just how it looks when somebody dominates. Jack finished in the top 2 37 times and a few people on a different site claimed that was due to the weak fields in those days. Koepka is doing something similar now, so we might have to rethink that argument.

Arriving 2 weeks early to prep really helped Scott
