Hey guys. I’ve finally been able to get the RIP build up in a new head and hit the range for a quick test last week. Keep in mind this was a brand new head and I hadn’t hit balls for a month and only 3 times previously this year so there was a lot of rust.

I have the 65 TX tipped 2” with 2 sensicore inserts stuffed in to get the weight up a little bit. Raw weight uncut weight with the inserts was 76g.

i don’t have much to go on as I’ve only hit it 8-10 times and was very rusty but I will be on the course Thursday and will put it through the paces quite a bit.

Are there going to be other profiles with this same tech? Something a little higher launching or lower?

I have finally been able to get my RipX setup on the course, and the results have been pretty good. I have picked up about 10 yards with the better launch and spin conditions. Even with the wet spring conditions, I still saw some roll as the ball hits the ground. I have really noticed how stable the shaft is when I step on a swing, there is very little twist at the bottom, but the shaft has great feel to it. Normally, with a shaft this tight, you would get a metal pipe feel to it, but the RipX has the feel of a softer, lighter shaft, but very strong performance.

I'm very interested in this shaft now... are you still liking it? Anything you'd compare it to? I need to knock off some spin... I hit the Ventus Black and liked it, but my swing was rusty. I've tended to always get along with Aldila shafts, so this is a contender for me.

still gaming it and still loving it. ball flight for me is a bit higher than normal -- but it's not spinning. it really is an awesome shaft.

The RIPX 75TX kicked the 130 Silver out of my bag. I was a little hesitant at first seeing the torque ratings but this shaft is killer. You can step on it and not worry about left. I'm not a super high SS player but I'm in the 118 range on average and this is by far the best feeling anti-left shaft I've ever hit. I'm playing it in a Mavrik SZ head and it is a great combination.

Picked up a 65tx for the driver and love it so far. Agree with the previous descriptions who have all described it very accurately. Very stable with a consistent bend that feels great.

Liked it so much I picked up a used 75tx 3 wood shaft I use mainly off the tee. However the 75tx doesn't have the 'mamba technology' checkered pattern below the mamba technology label and the label is slightly further from the tip.

Wanted to see if anyone might know if the 75tx is an earlier version or what is going on with the 75tx? Haven't seen any others online that look like this. Thanks.

I'm guessing that its either just a different/earlier paint job, or the heavier weight shafts have a different design in the tip section for fairway usage. Other companies have done that before; made tweaks to the profile of the heavier shafts to suit fairway woods a little more.

Rogue Black is more like a counterbalanced blue type profile. The Rip-X is lower launch and spin for most players. Rip-X has also proven to be very anti left.

We do have in testing, something very similar in flight, a bit more linear and even lower spin. Best shaft I've hit all year, but I'm going to have to hold onto that one for just a bit longer.

It really depends on the head. For example, Sim is a very high launching head but very low spin. So with a lot of guys even in the TX of the Rogue white still launch it pretty high. Oftentimes that's not ideal. So we have been having more success with some other products in that head for a lot of players just because it flattens out the overall ball flight.

I’m currently testing the Ripx 65tx (.75 tip) vs HZRDUS Smoke Green 70 6.5tx (1” tip) vs Ventus Black 6x (untipped)

hit the ripx and smoke for the first time last night. Ventus has been my game. Ventus black is very straight. Fairway finder for sure. I’m looking for something to bring the launch angle and spin down a bit so I don’t have to open the face on my SIM driver.

initial testing last night was very good with both shafts. I preferred the feel of the smoke quite a bit more though.

screenshots below. Driver is Smoke Green. Fairway (still a driver, just named fairway in the foresight app) is RIPx. Will continue testing but I think both will work better for me than the Ventus Black.

Smoke green was not the shaft for me. I’m about to pull the trigger on a aldila white or RIP-X.

Anyone have a comparison of RIP X to other popular FW shafts? I've like the original Rogue Silver 70-X in a 3 wood but it can launch a little too high. I know that is more low/mid-low/mid profile so on paper the RIP X should be very good. I've own a Tensei CK Pro White 70-TX and it's better but the RIP-X still has my eye. Any feedback or experience with the RIP-X compared to other 3 wood shafts would be helpful! Cheers!
