I personally am excited to get bonded fairways again. I've been thinking about picking up a rogue 3w but figured I'd wait to see the new one.

On what planet is getting one's "post count up" some type of desirable pursuit? He shared about his experience and answered questions about the club. He does not owe people a 10,000 word write-up.

I haven't seen it but someone I know that has seen it said its ugly and looks like a box set driver. He was underwhelmed and disappointed with the looks. He did not get to hit it so if it performs it may overcome the looks. I'm loving my OG Epic SZ and have no interest in switching so if its fugly all the better to stave off any urges to switch. Retail is supposed be lower than Epic Flash.

Talked to someone today about this driver. He said callaway tested a bunch of mavrik heads and every single one of them was non conforming. He said he did a fitting with someone who had 105 clubhead speed and the mavrik produced 172 ballspeed. He got to play it (he's signed with callaway) and he said it was stupid long....but non conforming. Callaway is having to slow them down before full release.

Callaway has been using top gun call signs for a while as code names for drivers. They just decided to run with this one. Rogue one came out in 2016. The Rogue driver came out in 2018.

Even the hot non conforming drivers from Japan don't perform that well, I doubt the mavrik can break 162 with a 105 swing.

 

If this was actually true, there would be the 125mph swing speed guys achieving 205 ball speed. That would certainly be fun to watch.

$600 is MSP maximum selling price. $499 will be MAP minimum advertised price. Both are numbers given by every golf company and the MAP is usually always the price online retailers and pro shops sell the clubs for.

If this was true it didn't happen recently. Maybe it happened more during the prototype stage but at this point they've already started on some level of production and reps already have some of their sales pieces. There is no way in hell that Callaway has truckloads of drivers that are nonconforming by that amount this close to release.
