I've never used the aforementioned putter, so I can't comment on how good or bad it is. But, one must wonder how good a deal it is, and how good the putter is, if they are still NEW after having not been made for 3+ years. Generally, good product sells quickly, and it surely doesn't sit around for 3+ years at a very reasonable price point.

The tommy armour is still $180. Regardless of taste in looks of putter (I think they are negligible just as I think the same of the Newport and ks1) the ks1 is still cheaper. And unless I missed it, doesn’t have a superstroke, which although I’m mixed on and I still prefer a rubber grip like the pingman, seem to be something a lot of folks prefer.

5 round review....

My friend sent me a Kirkland Putter the first day they were available in California. It's a fine looking (I get it looks are subjective) very well built putter.

I took it to my League day 1, first thing I noticed was how much heavier it is than my 20 year old Ping Anser. I do like the grip, and the headcover is just that, a headcover.

After 5 rounds, I put the Ping back in the bag.

It’s not a bad putter at all. Well built, nicely balanced and I really like the grip. It just never made a freaking putt! All my rounds are money games and I have no use for a non working (for me) tool.

My buddy on the other hand, LOVED IT. He’s a club ho, with far too much money. The Kirkland kicked his Scotty to the curb. He’s literally Gaga over this putter.

I’ll keep the Kirkland in the backup/guest bag but, my 20 something year old Anser still has a home in my battle bag.

For the record, I’m a huge Costco fan.

I think they are pretty sweet. If I weren't afraid of the top of my head spontaneously combusting due to the heat/direct sun of southeast Texas, I'd totally rock one of these out on the course.

The best is when they get the putter and realize they could have gotten a million other putters of better quality for less money. Go buy a milled Cleveland Classic for $90.
