Likely an updated version of the original Rogue 110, to be the "stock" offering with the Rogue Silver 130 being the updated Rogue 125. I wouldn't be horribly shocked if the new Silver 110 were just blank OG Rogue 110s painted to match the new graphics.

I like the weight drop in the 60 gm version (especially the stiff). That was my biggest complaint of the first gen was that the weight difference between the 60 and 70 gm version was too small. Hope they do the same thing with the Rogue Black.

Oddly, that's what I disliked the most. I prefer a mid or higher 60 gram.

The original Rogue Silvers weren't counter balanced either were they?

Yes, they were decently counterbalanced, the 60's more so than the 70's. Aldila started doing that on a regular basis with the Tour Green and Tour Blue. Well, the RIP Gamma was really the first commercial released CB shaft that I'm aware of, but the other RIP's were not.

I have been playing the Rouge 110 MSI in the 60 range in my driver and 70 in my 3 wood for about 5 years. I don't see spending the cash to try the Gen 2 unless I flirt with

a new driver or 3 wood...... The older I get the less of a Club Ho I seem to be

I believe UST had some CB offerings (Proforce CB/HTD CB in mid-2000s and AXIVcore Black/Red in 2008?) that were released prior to the Aldila RIP Gamma (2010?). Also, wasn't the lower price point En Fuego Serrano counterbalanced?

Sorry, I was being a bit lazy. But I was only talking in the context of Aldila's history and when they started, not the entire shaft industry,

 

And I don't know about the Serrano so you could be right. I remember when the En Fuego's were released but didn't really pay much attention to it at the time, and they never really seemed to catch on. So it wouldnt' surprise me if they were marketed as CB and I missed it. To be honest, I don't even remember if they were released before or after the RIPs. I thought the RIPs came first but could be wrong about that as well.

From a historical standpoint...the original Burner Bubble and AJ Tech Gripless handle., from '95-96 ? May have been the first counterbalanced graphite shafts . The extra material used in the handle area to create the large butt diameters would make them CB'd......???.....

Aj tech is actually the opposite. You're removing a ton of weight from the butt end because there isnt a heavy rubber grip

I just ordered the SIM Max with the Silver 110. Looking forward to trying it out! I do know that the silver 130 was to much shaft for me. After talking with Aldila today, this model is much more suited for us non touring professionals.

Forgot I posted in this thread. I put the new rogue silver in my 3wood. The profile has changed. The shaft is not as counterbalanced. It's looser in the butt section and seems stiffer in the mid and tip. The new profile feels a lot more like a hzrdus black or matrix black tie. It's definitely not the firm butt, softer middle, firm tip feeling of the original rogue silver.

You have answered my own question that I came here to post. The 2 most consistent shafts I’ve ever used have been the Rogue Silver 70s 110 msi, and the Attas Elements MK 7s.

I’m currently using a Tour Spec Speeder 757, and I like it when I’m swinging well, but on off days, it’s really bad. I’m looking to go back to the Rogue, but in the 60g version instead for those hot days where the driver can feel heavy when I get tired.

The new rogue silver is still very, very good. Dispersion is just as tight as the old profile. But there's a noticeable difference in feel between the two. Head to head, same clubhead, new rogue silver will play about 1-1.5 swingweight points heavier.

I took a few swings with the new Rogue Silver 60s in the new Cobra Speed Zone, and didn’t mind it at all. It just felt too light. Maybe the 70 would have been better? Dispersion was very tight, like you mentioned. If I can find a good deal on a new one, I’ll give it a go, but with how cheap the old ones are, I’ll have no complaints about it.
