Anyone know what SuperStroke grip that is? Looks like maybe a Traxion Tour 3.0 or 2.0. Anyone else ever use an oversized SuperStroke grip on a SC Newport? Curious to know how it changes the feel and feedback. I have used SS Slim 3.0 on odyssey putters and loved it. Few years back switched to scotty newport 2 with matador midsized grip which was nice but slick when hands were sweaty. I upgraded my scotty to 2020 Select and comes with the Pistolini Plus grip. Not crazy about it. Been contemplating throwing on a SuperStroke. Being that the Pistolini grip is almost 20g heavier than the SuperStroke 3.0 the balance of the putter will be a bit off. Just wondering if anyone uses this setup and their thoughts.

Yup this is how all Tel3’s are made. No cavity. Machine putters are like this as well and I think it looks cheap. But does look better on the Tel3’s for sure.

I was responding to the cavity no cavity thoughts , and was showing an example of a variation with a deep cavity and the insert. He’s taken a step backwards in my opinion . T22 vs his T10 is no contest in looks . But I prefer a clickier feel. Which the T10 has compared to the originals or the t22.

But a “clever” trademark phrase that allowed SC to add a zero to the prices and make heaps of money.

By the way, that false pocket design is interesting, it might allow more weight tho the sides for increased forgiveness. It should produce a nice sound though.

Yep! Surprising, but could be he has been testing it. He is playing the only Mavrik I can look at. I don’t care for the shapes. I did see he did not play well on Sunday, 2!over par and barely made top 20 in a pretty average field. So maybe he is searching a little.

Still, this cannot make TM happy, even if he isn’t paid. Players seem ambivalent about the SIM. I mean, Hideki took a sharpie to his to change the look from address. I definitely like the M6 more.

The difference between most of these clubs is pretty minor. I really think its more about how comfortable these guys feel at setup and then if the club fits in the window they are looking. Some of these guys try lots of stuff and then just go back to what is comfortable.

That is exactly why I prefer putters with no pocket, The feel and sound.
