Just ordered 4 dozen from Dicks today for $104 and change.  It's a 48 ball pack.  Pretty good deal!

Finally got out to the course to play and test out the Maxfli Tour for the first time since purchasing the 48 ball pack. For me, it proved to be a fantastic ball in every category....distance, feel, consistency, durability and short game performance. Not looking to spend $50 / dz on balls so I have been testing out DTC alternatives over the past year and the Maxfli Tour performed as well for me as anything else I have tried...major OEM or DTC. Maxfli Tour and MTB Black will be the two balls I keep in rotation for the immediate future.  Absolutely no complaints with either one of these.

I played the yellow, and yes, the yellow kinda scuffs off but does not affect the ball.

I've found that if I keep them off the cart path, the yellow holds up very well. But, yeah, the yellow doesn't get along with the cart path at all.

Durability: This is the biggest deal to me. The ball was as durable as anything a ProV1X, and that is seriously saying something. I used the same ball the whole round and didn't switch out at all

Agreed, this is one of the most durable balls I've ever played. Easily comparable to ProV1. I once played 4 rounds with the same ball until I finally dunked it into the drink on a par 3.

My only complaint is the alignment mark. It is just gaudy to me. I

That's why i stocked up on the 2019 model. Much cleaner looking.

2021 Maxfli tour ball is very different from the 2019 tour ball!!!

I have played 2 rounds now alternating between the 2019 and 2021 version of the Maxfli Tour balls. I really liked the 2019 version and thought it was a great alternative to the Pro V1. The 2021 version doesn’t work for me. It is great off my driver but is too long and doesn’t spin enough with my irons.  I have hit the same shot multiple times with each ball and the 2021 version goes 5 to 7 yards longer, bounces way up in the air off the green and doesn’t hold. The 2021 version just feels hot almost like I am playing hollow body irons instead of 2018 Apex MB or Wilson Staff CB irons.

I will get some numbers in the simulator to confirm what I have experienced on the course but the 2021 tour ball just doesn’t work for me. It is a shame because the 2019 version worked great. Guess I need to find a new ball or bite the bullet and go back to Pro V1s.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with the 2021 version?

Did a quick test in the simulator over lunch and it supports what I experienced on the course. 7 iron 1 is with 2021 tour ball and 7 iron 2 is with the 2019 tour ball. These are the average of 10 shots. 2021 tour launches 1 degree higher, flies 3 yards longer, goes 4 yards farther and spins 500 rpm less.

Do you always count on 12 yards of rollout with your 7 iron? I usually get 1-2 yards at most.

Also, there's some rounding going on there, as 163+12 = 175.

Glad I can look forward to gaining 3 more yards when I run out of balls and get new ones. 👍

Good point on the roll out 😀. That’s the data out of the launch monitor hitting off a mat. It usually pulls back on the course or into a green on the simulator. The difference that bothers me the most is the 500 RPM decrease in spin. I cannot get the 2021 version to stop on the greens. They just bounce over where the 2019 version hits and sticks. It is worse out of the rough where the spin is already reduced.

I may try the Tour X as that is supposed to spin more.

My biggest dilemma is my SS varies (off driver) from 90-100.  I hit my 7 iron 150-155 yds carry.  Would the Tour-X be too firm? Would my SS be sufficient enough to compress the ball?

My driver is 105 and it feels great.

It's somewhere in between the pro v 1 and the X in terms of compression.

I follow your posts on this sub forum. You don't need any more balls 🤣

I know!  I have a problem!

However, I'm going to Florida in August and will likely play 4-6 rounds.  My son and two son-in-laws will likely play.  They are not players.   I'm supplying all the balls.  I have 4--6 dozen for them to lose that won't hurt me.  😂

At least I'm not alone! I have at least 9 dozen new balls, which for playing once a month should last a couple of years, yet I'm constantly shopping for more! LOL
