Maxfli Tour balls

According to color theory, which is what ball manufacturers go by, the answer is “against what?”.

White has the highest luminance level (brightness) of any color, though white is actually the lack of color, so it should be the easiest to see. But the other concern is contrast, and against lighter colors, white is quite mediocre, while yellow is substantially better, perhaps the best overall.

Moral - White if you’re at an expense club and in the fairway all the time. If not, then maybe yellow 🙈.

Yeah I just never have brought myself to go away from the Traditional white. I'm usually in the fairway 90% of the time (I'm fairly accurate). It's when it's in the Air I have trouble at times seeing it.

in the air, the answer is RED. However, against dark green, red isn’t so hot (excuse the pun). Red balls also have the issue of more likely to be looked at as “short bus” balls by a segment of the playing population vs. yellow.

Hello is much easier to see in the sky and in the rough especially with some sun glasses.  If you want to know the difference go on YouTube and try to watch a Wimbledon match before they switched to yellow lol

The high visibility green is just as good.

It wouldn't let me use it online cause the balls are already on sale for like 104 bucks

It's fairly common on the DSG/GG web sites to not allow coupons/promotions for things that are already on sale even though the "sale" is really the every day price.  They usually let you do it in store with no questions asked but occasionally it can be hassle in store as well.  There are several posts a few pages back with different folks having different experiences in store with what appeared to be the same coupon (used it with no issue, needed a manager override, refusal by the manager).

Fortunately not.

Being "like a Pro V1" is a negative to me.

So you'd rather pay 55 bucks for a Name? Have at it, I'd rather save 20 bucks for a round of Golf and play the Maxfli that's just as good as Pro v1

I don't lose many balls. As testament to that, I still have 2 1/2 dozen of the Snell MTB Black left out of the 5 dozen I bought before the end of last year. Keep in mind, I play 5 days per week, year 'round, weather permitting. Some balls I play so long that the brand and other markings are barely legible, anymore. However, I still won't pay Titleist prices for balls that may or may not be slightly better than other, less costly offerings out there.

I'm thinking you didn't quite get my comment.  I think the Pro V1 sucks, so being "like a Pro V" is no compliment.,

The head pro and assistants at my course thought it was funny that a past club champ was playing a Maxfli ball this weekend in the club championship.  They had no idea that Maxfli balls were still around or that the current Maxfli Tour is a legit premium golf ball.

Exactly my point above. Pro Vs are slightly better than the Maxfli Tours ever so slightly. Pro V not enough to warrant paying 20 extra bucks. I'm taking that 20 for an extra green fee!

i like money saved MORE THAN pro v1, x, left dash/dot, whatever minimal changes at minimal costs titleist comes up with next to pad their profit margins.

... I have done practice round testing hitting the ProV1 and Maxfli Tour side by side and found no difference in performance. Off the tee, from the fairway and around the greens they were virtually identical for me. Since I play 4-6 times a week and start every round with a new ball thanks to the desert fairways chewing up covers, the savings when buying 4 dozen for $104.99 is just too good to pass up.

Exactly! People pays those prices for the name when there's Balls out there that's as close as you will get to a Titleist, examples Maxfli tours, and Snell. Those doesn't get any closer and they both are 20 bucks less. I will stick to the Latter's over Titleist

Yes, very. The Tour X won't show signs of cracking at the seam, either. Both good balls but, Tour X has the edge based on price.

So no worry that the tour X is too spinny compared to the XV?

Don't make this too complicated brother. I've only hit maybe 2 balls in my life that I'd consider "too spinny" and one is the Kirkland V2 and the other is one of the Mizuno balls. Just buy ball. Hit ball. Put ball in hole.

I get this a lot playing the tour x. The other day I was walking and the guy in the cart was ahead looking at balls in the fairway. He yells, kinda asks maxfli, in a condescending tone. Reminds me of being on a playground, no one cares about performance, but how the brand makes you look.

Good point... Losing 2-5 balls a round, that adds up with what I imagine is minimal impact on my handicap...
