Not the first time he’ll have received a fine I’d imagine. He’s had multiple run ins with fans. The Tour needs to step in an get hacks out of the crowds it’s slowly getting out of hand.

Watching now. Such a beautiful course and in immaculate condition. Just heard them say the rough will not be cut for the remainder of the tournament. This is gonna get good!

Very rarely will rough be cut during tournament days at any event. And I agree it should be a good event 

 

with the exception of walk outs and step cuts. Those were mowed every morning.

I didn’t realize that. Thanks. Assumed they cut it to keep it at a desired length for the tournament.

I won’t say it never happens but I can’t think of an event we hosted where we cut the rough daily. 
 

Rough heights were suggested to be 2.5 inches if memory serves, but we’d regularly be well above that kinda by pride but also we never wanted to be short of that mark if that makes sense.

I just watched Conners hit a shot out of the rough on 3. Looked like it was already ~3-3.5”. By Sunday it’s gonna be downright nasty!

Yep it is gnarly! You could stick your hand down in some spots and it would come up to your wrist, and it is very dense.

I'd disagree, it's not "getting", it is definitely out of hand, or rather it is when the usual number of fans are allowed on the grounds. Clowns like that should just be thanked for their attendance and shown the exit.

Nice to see Rory looking like Rory again. Just can't quite figure the guy out. Clearly as a husband and a father he realises that there is more to life than golf but it seems that he has taken that even broader and has really broadened his horizons. For his own personal development that is amazing, from a golf fan who wants to see him playing as well as he can, it is frustrating! Yesterday was a good sign. That said, given past performances, I will need to be convinced that he will continue in that vain over the weekend.

Haha, not so much actually. Reminds me of a guy local to us. Brilliant golfer, +3 or +4. Now more interested in drinking coffee which has been harvested by sherpas with PhD's, solving complex mathematic equations and fixing his man bun. I am not saying that is what Rory is going to end up like but, I wouldn't 100% rule it out.
