I’ve heard it said many times in interviews and articles of younger golfers, all thanking Tiger for making the game what it now is for them.

It’s the same thing as the next generation of young NBA stars thanking Lebron instead of MJ. 

Sure, they’ve seen all the highlights of Arnie but unless you’ve actually lived through the time frame it’s not the same thing 

 

im not saying we can’t pay respect to past players. But you ask any golfer under 35 who they idolized growing up and 99.9% will say Tiger

I have read a lot of history, most of it occurred before I was born.  🙂  I have also read a lot of golf history, I never say Bobby Jones play but reading about him is pretty fascinating, same with Vardon, Hogan, Snead etc.  

 

We should always look to the future but honor the past.

It's one of my favorite places.  I've been there probably half a dozen times as a kid, been to the cemeteries, and even went to WWI sites (lived overseas).  I even unintentionally waded into the Channel when high tide was coming in.  It was a great experience, and very sobering.

Nope. Wedges are "MG2 52, 56, 60." Irons are "3-pw." Obviously they're wrong somewhere.
