Ingee was a Ping staffer for a few years at the same time as she had Hite Brewery as one of her sponsors.  I cannot imagine that Patty is a staffer (i.e: paid ambassador -- yet) but rather has her equipment sponsored and maybe a small fee for its use, but nothing like Brooke gets.

What timeframe? Browsing through old images it looks like she picked up Srixon sponsorship in 2011. I didn't see a Ping bag from 2009 through 2010. She was with Taylormade in her rookie season (2007).

Ping G425 Max Driver 12 (0 Flat) - Aldila Ascent Red 50 Stiff (46")

Ping G410 9wd 23.5 (0 Flat) - Alta CB 65 Stiff (42.5")
Ping G425 6h 30 (0 Flat) - Alta CB 70 Stiff
PXG 0311P Gen3 6-P (2 Deg Weak, 1 Deg Flat) - True Temper Elevate 95 S /

Ping i200 6-P Orange Dot (2 Deg Weak, 2 Deg Flat) - True Temper XP 95 S
Ping Glide 4.0 52-12 S, 56-10 Eye2, and 60-10 S Orange Dot (2 Deg Flat) - Ping Z-Z115 Wedge

She's even wearing a Hite Brewery logo on her cap!  😄

Do you play with them?  Do you find them restrictive?  My Korean playing partners brought me a set as a gift.  I tried them, but my arms were never so hot!  I am used to having some air circulation around them.

Yes.  Sort of like a compression shirt, but arms only.  Cooler than two shirts (used to do that) and much more comfortable than sleeves.  I hate slathering on sunscreen.

No club longer than 9i on par 4’s & 7i on par 5’s. If her putting holds up Sunday, everyone else is just playing for 2nd... including all the 4 handicaps still thinking they can beat a 103rd ranked LPGA pro.

I'm a little surprised. My understanding from someone in the know is that alcohol sponsorships + Ping don't mix.

It's not an alcohol sponsorship... it's for Singha bottled water.

😁

No, seriously... Thailand has an 'amusing' law against alcohol sponsorship visible on tv (or facebook/social media !! 😉 !!  ), so... Singha got into the bottled water scam business too. And there you go, all nice and legal.

Soda water too... and Chang, another major beer brand follows the same, errr, marketing technique.

Duh. I was thinking Inbee. Yeah, In Gee had Hite sponsorship when she played on the KLPGA, and in her first full year on the LPGA (2016) . However, she dropped the Hite sponsorship in 2017.

Patty's driving was certainly otherworldly, averaging 348 yds yesterday. She's averaging a measly 326 for the three rounds, though. Lol.

Her putting was lights out yesterday. She had a number of par saves that were no gimmes. 28 putts with 14 GIRs. Not quite the putting performance of Moriya during round one, but impressive nonetheless.

We'll see if she gets tense today and starts burning edges.

Sure looks like they defanged the 18th. Unless a player is in desperate need of an eagle, they're simply not going for the green in two. Heck, the longest hitters are laying up with lob wedges. Oy. May as well move the tees back, because it just looks silly.

I think it's more like Sunblock, that's why it's showing white, it's to block the sun rays.

At the point where she has to coat her legs with sunblock that never fully soaks in, why not just where a light pair of pants?  I've never understood this.  Skin that is covered with this stuff is not going to be cooler than just covering up with light clothing

The thing that stands out to me about her driving, is that it she is not "swinging out of her shoes".  Very balanced footwork, that bodes well for consistency and accuracy....and her iron game is smooth.  We could be looking at the next dominant player and a potential all time great

It's early going on the final day but not good news for the field with the way Patty is playing and today's setup doesn't seem to be one that will cause many crooked scores, through 9 holes even the worst scores aren't really out of whack, so I don't see Patty fading.  With the lead Patty has built I don't see anyone chasing her down either.

I guess the winds could factor in later in the day but today's set up seems friendly early on.

Weren’t we saying this about Sung Hyun Park? She’s dropped off considerably since.

Tavatanakit might have my favorite swing in professional golf right now. It's smooth, controlled power. She's going to be a force in the LPGA swinging like that.

Agree completely. It's just so fundamentally flawless.
