Crazy huh.....I have heard dumb stuff about my clubs a few times.  I bought PXG irons when they first started the military discount and people commented on those a lot implying I was overly wealthy.  Ironically, the K Sig wedges were the first new clubs I have bought that weren't used in probably 5 years.

Has anyone noticed durability issues with these?

I don't abuse my set by any stretch of the imagination but I've noticed some pretty hard dings and dents in them. Starting to see some face damage as well.

You know you get relief from the cart path, right?

This thread was a great read.

Let's be real - we could all put these in our bags tomorrow and at the end of the day our scores would more than likely not be impacted in anyway by it.

He said he doesn't want the branding on this wedges but he plays the golf ball and wears the glove with the logos on them. So the logo is even more visible to his playing partners, that is why I said his post doesn't make sense.

Nobody said anything about playing partners. I don’t care what they think. I play with friends, and they don’t GAF what you play. Another buddy plays with the putter and wedges. And if Kirkland irons come out he’ll play them too.

It’s visible to me and I like to play clubs I like looking at. I don’t like big huge labels and it being a Kirkland logo makes it even worse. If it was a small logo I’d be fine with it.

like those new Cobra KING Tour Irons. They look so damn good except for the big arse “KING” on them.

There is a name for people who look and judge what others are playing. It rhymes with foosh-nags.

I check out other bags not to judge, but I like looking at gear. I’m more impressed actually with older, cheaper budget bags.

I have to admit I 🤔 when people complain about the graphics on the Kirkland wedge. Really it no more garish than what's on a Vokey, Cleveland or Mizuno.

That is stupid.

I golf for the fun of it, couldn't care less what other people are playing with. All I care about is having a good time, and I hope that whomever I'm paired up with has a similar attitude towards the sport.

So how do those who have gamed these for a season feel about them?

Are you keeping them in the bag?  Did you go out and buy another set to keep in reserve like one of the posters in this thread did?

I'm about to buy a set and just can't find a reason not to.

Good buddy that plays to a 3 these days uses them and likes them a lot.  He still comments about them to me since he knows I'm a fan.

Glad I bought them, no reserves, will keep them in the bag. Only issue is skinny grips, keep meaning to change them out. No regrets on them.

I like them, but I really only use the 56* sand wedge. I carry the 60* lob wedge in my bag, but really only use it if I need a lot of loft like if I'm in the face of a steep greenside bunker, otherwise I play a partial sand wedge.  I don't carry the 52* since I have a gap wedge that matches my irons.

Bottom line is that I have a 56* vokey in my backup set, but use the 56* kirkland as my gamer. So yeah, I like it.

I was so excited when I first got them! I blacked out the shafts and threw on some new grips.

I was never a lob wedge player so just demoed the 60 for a round or two, then sold it to someone on these boards.

The other two stayed in my bag most of the summer, but one by one got replaced by their Vokey and Ping Glide predecessors.

I really wanted to love these wedges, but ended up only liking them.

On the other hand, my buddy loves and plays all three with great results.

They still have life residing in the guest bag along with my X20 tours, G10 woods and Fusion driver.

No regrets.

I think the two clubs that actually DO impact my scores are driver and wedge.

But you are right, KSiG wedges will perform just fine for nearly everyone.

Woods/Fairways:  Callaway with Mitsubishi shafts

Irons:  Srixon with Dynamic Gold shafts

Costco gets enough of my money to not need my ball and wedge money, too. For me it seems lazy, but I get it. Grab some golf gear while stocking up on toilet paper seems totally logical. I wish Golf Galaxy carried bulk toilet paper as it would also save me a trip.

To me it's not about laziness, it's about value. I don't play the Kirkland ball any longer, since the big ball test showed it was a complete outlier when it comes to spin rates (I switched to Snell MTB-X), but that was based on ball preference, not being lazy or not lazy. When/if a new 4pc ball comes out, I might switch back. All I need is a ball that's good enough, and if I can get it for $1/ball (3pc) or $1.25/ball (4pc), why wouldn't I? If the 3pc was more middle-of-the-road in its spec rather than a spin monster, it would still be my ball of choice.

Same with the wedges. I don't play the Kirkland wedges, because I knew that to fit my game, I'd immediately have to reshaft and regrip them. Because that would add a bunch of cost, it blunts some of the value of $159 for three wedges. If I was a normal-sized person and could play them right out of the box, I'd do it in a second.

I do wear the gloves. They're damn nice gloves for $5/ea. Why spend $15 for a brand glove that's just going to wear out anyway, when you can get 4/$20?

I actually play the fabric version, but I got 6 for $20. 🤣

One glove has almost 100 rounds on it and looks great still.
