Compact 7 Wood

Seems like a thing of the past but does anyone make a compact 7 wood?  I have a 915F 7 wood but I'd love to find something a little smaller in shape.

Don’t know how easy it will be to find in a 7W, but the tour edge exotics E8 E9 E10 models all fit the bill.  The beta titanium versions are the bomb and smaller than the steel models.  There are a couple on the bay.  Other option is the exotics CB5 model.

Titleist seems to be the only one making small 7w heads - 135cc if I remember.

Cobra’s Radspeed Tour 5-wood might be of interest. It’s 17.5* but you can loft it to 19*, almost into 7 wood territory. 148cc.

I have a honma 737c or something like that that is very small. In fact, i have been wanted a 915f instead to go my with my 4 wood. Pm if you want to work something out.

Mavrik 7w is 143cc and looks pretty compact at address

I just got a Srixon ZX 7 wood, I’m surprised nobody has been mentioning it in any threads. Not sure how compact it is in relation to other 7 woods but it seems like a good size to me. It’s awesome, glued hosel, no weights, no markings on the crown. They just know what they’re doing over there

Any chance you can post a photo? Preferably with something next to it for comparison sake

Taylormade R15 5HL 21* and it's 120cc. It doesn't have amazing ball speeds or anything but a 7W  is not about max distance.

Came here to say that. I've had mine in the bag for 5~6 years now, and it's performed really well. Fills a distance spot in the bag perfectly.

It's all in the eye of the beholder but I do not find the Epic Speed 7 wd to be large.

 

Of course, if you want small, try a TEE hybrid - it's like a mini-fairway wood and with the right shaft, gets high, not 7 wd high but it's small.

Taylormade M4 had a "6 wood" (I call it that) at 21 degrees. They say 5HL. I found it on EBAY as a tour issue club. They also had a 24 degree 7w. I hit the 21 with an x100 shaft and it's a monster on the course. 157 and 146 cc's respectively. Really deep face for that size clubhead.

Sure I will take some pics tonight, what should I compare to? I have an old Bio Cell+ 5 wood that I’d consider compact for a fairway, could also put up next to a hybrid or something

I've had a V-Steel 7 wood in my bag for a decade, with a steel shaft in it that makes it slightly longer than my 4 iron. It's a great club, but the .350 hosel has made it almost impossible for me to source an X-flex steel shaft to put in it to bring it in line with the rest of my bag (irons have KBS Tour x-flex). Any ideas out there?

So it’s a shallow face, a touch longer front to back than my CBX119. This is my 4 wood / 7 wood setup. Didn’t think I’d be doing a 7 wood photo shoot after work today.

if you like Titleist the TS2 21* head is smaller then the older 917

I have a Callaway Big Bertha Heaven wood and it's perfect in size for me. Steel shaft and steel head look. I'm sure it can be found for cheap too.

I was looking for a 7 wood last month and decided on the Tour Edge EX10...it's quickly become my favorite club in the bag and gives me a great 220-225 yard club that is super easy to it. 

 

It seems fairly compact to my eye.

Man, I really like the ZX series.. But to the topic, why not a hybrid? Small head.. and good for any lie. Adjustable ones can take the hook out, which seems to be most people's problem (I fade ti slice all woods myself if not careful)

I ordered the Ping G425 7 Wood 6 weeks ago as Ping was only one I could find making a left handed 7 wood. I have not received it yet but will post pics when it gets here.

Same here. FedEx says mine will arrive tomorrow (and it shipped right around the date they'd said it would). We'll see. But if it does come, I'll post some pictures.
