How many putters do you have at home?

4 currently...I usually have between 3-7 but buy and sell quite often. I've slowed down a lot in the last couple of years but always looking.

33...and I admit I have a problem. COVID hasn't helped and the ebay mobile app is an enabler.

While I really love the Anser 2/Newport 2 from an aesthetic standpoint, switching to a mallet style at the beginning of the pandemic has turned these style of putters into more of a collection than potential gamers.

Currently the gamer is the Ping Doc 12.5.

Since I play everything from Pre 1900 to modern,  I have quite a number. I justify the number of hickory shafted because I introduce a lot of people to hickory golf.

 

Pre 1900 (2) one wooden headed, one blade

 

1900 Hickory (18) including 3 Schenectady and 2 Mills

 

Classic Era (4) 2 Otey Crisman with hickory shafts, 2 Bullseye

 

Modern (20  an Odyssey, Touredge Mallet

 

All get played sometimes although two are used by far most frequently. My gamer Schenectady for hickory and Otey Crisman mallet for classic and modern play.

Definitely an oldie, I think I sent that Mid Sur in for refinishing around 2010.

Time frame definitely seems right. I got a Studio Select 2.6 new in 2008ish and always had dreams of sending it to the custom shop but unfortunately never the $$$.

How many do I HAVE, or how many does my wife know about? I have probably 15, I regularly rotate about 4-5 of them. All are blade style but I did get a Stroke Lab mallet that I like and have kept in the bag. If you can afford it there's nothing wrong with expanding your collection. I'd suggest going to golf shops and trying some new and used putters to see what you like then see if you can get them on the secondary market, that way if you ditch it you don't have as much money sunk in.

Curious what is your feedback on the PXG putters? I always though they looked really well made but never felt one

6 in the current rotation. All of these got some play last season with the T P mills getting the most play at the end and the Toulon getting the most play in the beginning.
