Pins on Thursday/Friday are in friendlier places otherwise theyd never get the field thru on time. Saturdays/Sundays when they use more challenging placements he wasn't competitive....it was just a matter of time.

He could shoot another 67 again like he did Friday and that might be good enough to win it,amazing how you seem to know so much about his mind frame and that he only shot 67 because of the pin-positions,the field score was higher on friday, because of harder pin placemements than Thurday,or did you forget to add  that

So much disrespect in this to Richard Bland/

Will you be able to post in this froum again if he does still win in the end.🤣

Yeah I really don't get the hate for Bland.

Of course chances were he was always going to fall back but he has obviously done well and is tied 21st.

These journeyman stories show how tough this game of golf is at the highest level.

Easy information to find.

Better info and just as easy to find! Haha. Interesting he plays different shafts in his 4-6i than his 7-9i. Don’t see that often (ever).

People are lazy.

In same amount of time it takes to post here asking “what irons does (whoever) play’. You could find the answer almost instantly… Maybe they just want to be included in the thread and can’t think of anything better to post?! 🤷🏼‍♂️😂

Or in 2021 some people still can't figure out how to use a search engine LOL! For some people here it shows loud and clear.  🙃

The -5s struggle a little and this is wide open down to the evens, IMO - great looking leaderboard.  Yep, Poulter has a chance!

Celebrated Father's Day early yesterday with visit from my Dad and later oldest daughter and I had a great 18 holes!  Kind of fun how much of the lunchtime/post-lunchtime reminiscing centered around golf over the years - always a big part of our lives.

Enjoying a nice pourover, watching the dog watch squirrels and not so patiently waiting for action to start!

Hot take culture.

WRX staples:  "everyone who doesn't win sucks."  Guy form the European Tour "never had a chance at the tournament", "everyone saw the collapse coming."

What I don't know is whether it comes from a desire to be Stephen A Smith or if they think with a couple weeks of work they could put up a better performance.

I don't have bland at all. I actually liked watching his more throwback style when guys used to have to plot and work their ways around a golf course, hit long irons into par 4's, and 3 woods to have a shot at rolling one onto a par 5 in 2. Im merely commenting that wasn't going to hold up on the weekend.

Basically if Rory can finally put together consecutive good rounds he wins it.  I just don't think many guys are going to shoot 67 or 68 today, if he does it again he should win and to me other than DJ, Rory is the only other guy in the top 10 who can pretty easily just roll a 67 on any day

I think Bryson probably is the other one to include in that list of guys have a better chance of going low. Certainly not my choice, but probably who I would put my money on.

He just needs to be more conservative on par 5s.  If he had done that yesterday he probably is at -5 or -6 now...he went crazy on all of the and I think ended up only 1 under on the par 5s.  He has the ability to take a bit off his drives on 5s and probably still birdie all of them on a given day and maybe get an eagle.  He plays all of them to get a 3.

Even the plus 2 players have a chance  with a low Round.

Pressure on the 3 leaders, how is Louis putting under the pressure of joint leader with 18 holes to go. Always been a bit suspect.

DJ only 4 back.

Riveting last round tonight until the early hours here!

+2 has no chance, +1 is a huge stretch. Lowest round so far is 67 and there are simply too many good players ahead of those guys.

Brooks or JT may post a number early to make it interesting.

He's gaining some momentum for sure and seems pretty "in control", for Bryson - my daughter mentioned while watching some replay after golf that he seems (now that's "seems") to be more mature in a way.  Maybe it's just a yin to the yang of Bruce lately, but I enjoy listening to him.

Just listening to Live From the US Open this morning. They said Vegas has Louie as the favorite with Rory and Bryson next.

Wonder how they’ll set it up today, is there a 64 or 65 out there?

Torn on that - I'd like to see a hot round, but I like seeing everyone on the edge of losing a shot or two every couple of holes and something extraordinary needed to make the jump.

NOT enjoying that Live From seems to be a rehash of the same prerecorded pieces - I thought I would never, ever say this but someone wake up Brandel and get him to the table!  I don't think the Live From bit right now is even "From".

Yesterday the 18th hole was played from forward tee blocks. In his post round interview Bryson admitted that his driver-landing-area was too small and he should have played less than driver.
