I want to see good golf, and if these two happen to be playing the best at the moment

Today was a perfect example of why they should be showing every shot of the big names and fewer of the shots by the current leader. We missed a lot of BDC's early round, and saw so many of Bland's blunders.

Looks like Rors and BDC in penultimate group on Sunday. Some personal competition at hand.

Hope Blandy can hang in for a top 10 finish.  I'm sure he would approve.

Not if Louis birdies 18.  Then it would be him and Rory.

Louis is going to birdie 18...putting him at -4, and likely pairing him with Rory tomorrow.

Bland is finishing like van de Verde at the British, yet the reality is he never had a chance from the start. Bland played as good as someone can for a guy hitting it 270 off the tee, a full 50-60 yards behind many of the longer hitters, and hitting 5 irons into greens where other guys are hitting 8 irons or less. Sure he hit a lot of fairways, but the real story is that he couldn't hold the green and go at tucked pins with long irons.

I agree that Jacobsen is a horrible broadcaster. Like Curtis Strange and Justin Leonard, Jacobsen's commentary is mundane .

However, I guarantee you that Jacobsen's 30 plus year pro playing career, including more than 20 wins means he knows much about the golf swing.

Regarding "science" , it is usually charlatan instructors who try to interject science to golf swing learning or practice, so if Jacobsen (or any other broadcaster) avoids scientific analysis of golf, that's a good thing.

Lol Jacobsen used the word "science" when trying to describe the reason guys of different builds can still be high clubhead speed players, but couldn't even explain the science ! Yes science certainly has a place in sports, just not from guys who are way past their prime

I don't know what "way past their prime" might have to do with a player's knowledge about golf. For example, Jack Nicklaus is over 80 years old and I guarantee you he knows more about effective swing technique, choosing lines of play, course strategy, scoring strategy etc... than any current Tour player.

Why did anyone think ole Blandy would hang at the top? I bet he will be lucky to be top 20 when it is all said and done.

No matter what Bland shoots tomorrow his play has been very impressive this week.

Bland shot 67-71 and you imply he doesn't have the skills to shoot low scores at Torrey Pines ?

I didn’t get to watch much today, just tuned in for the final few holes. Who is the commentator that can’t stop referencing Tiger constantly. I really don’t care if every single shot reminds you of 2008.

As for the tournament, looks like it’s really setting up for a great finish tomorrow. Pulling for Louie or Rory.

Haircuts don’t sidetrack me for long. Takes longer to find it than cut it😟, but that food looks like a good reason to miss!  I had McDonalds with one of the grandkids.🤮
