Post a Pic of the Club(s) You Will Never Sell

uglande

Recommended Posts

What is your GOAT, your unicorn, your Billy Baroo that they'll have to pry from your cold dead hands?

Is there a club in your arsenal that you can't imagine ever being without?

Post a pic and tell us why.

My entry is admittedly weak, because it's relatively new, but it's my Ping Tyne 4 putter (for which I was properly fitted). I am draining absolutely everything and feel like I've locked up this spot in the bag for years to come.

That was my question too when I saw the thread title!

I do have a bunch of old stuff that I probably won’t ever be able to sell and some day will go to goodwill.

Only stick I probably won’t ever sell is my tour striker 7i. Best training aid I’ve ever bought. I reshaft it with a soft stepped 6i shaft of the same family as rest of my iron shafts when I change those out.

My Son of a GOAT and my 681 Ts. The putter is everything I want in one (light weight, smooth face, sight dot, minimal branding, squared off profile). Irons on the other hand are pretty obvious.

I likely won't sell my Byrdie irons because they are pretty unique (1/15 made). But I generally don't get attached to "stuff" and if I can recoup some scratch selling crap I won't use for stuff I might, then game on.

If it's older and won't sell, it will go to goodwill and somebody will use it

That looks amazing in picture, probably even better in person.

What's crazy is how durable the finish is. That club has over a dozen rounds in that picture. I finally have some visible scratches on my 5 and 6. But it's not wearing off like the copper finishes.

I bought them sight unseen and had no idea what they were going to look like. Nick said they were doing 15 lefty sets, so I gave them my money. I have been very happy with them for a few dozen rounds now.

All my clubs know they are a bad round away from a time out in the dark basement corner where spiders and other creepy creatures reside. The bowling ball learned it’s lesson years ago, warns the other sports equipment and now only provides me strikes and spares. If the time out doesn’t work, the clubs are off to eBay.
The only clubs safe are a set of Taylormade Super Steel Burners I inherited.

Not the exact same but pretty close is my never sell piece. Have had it in the bag for two seasons and it is the best mallet style putter I have ever owned. Both our putters combine instant plant and sole capabilities, generous alignment assistance, and supreme balance due to the wings extending out the back. Well that is the case according to me anyway.  😉

Toulon Las Vegas H7.

Pic two posts down.

Love your idea for the thread uglande.

I was wavering between the Tyne 4 and the Odyssey Vegas. Could have flipped a coin. They're both money.

That 2 iron should be in a display case inside velvet ropes with its own security guard.

TN R9 4w. I7ve played it for 10 years or more, and finally it looks like it will lose its spot (an M4 5w is just about edging it out). I'll never sell it mainly because it's not worth anywhere near as much to a buyer as it is to me as the owner. I'll probably be lucky to get 1,000 yen for it, but for me, I can put it back in the bag and play it whenever. Here it is in the bag in June this year. I got the M4 in late July. Incidentally, the 56* Callaway MD2 T-grind is basically in the same position. I've replaced it now, but I won't sell it because it's worth more to me than any price I'll get on the used market. The MD2 T-grinds were just such great wedges.
