Prov1 Yellow

I have been playing these this year and really enjoy them. Much easier to see and I believe they look bigger at address than a white ball. Also nice to know who's who in the fairway. Anyone else play these?

I tried one for a round and just can't do it. It performed exactly the same as the white balls, but it looked way too weird for me at address 😂.

Have some, didn't get to try them this year, will be one of the first I try in the Spring!

Played through a dozen this season, would buy again.  I enjoy playing a yellow ball when nobody else in the group is.

Love the yellow ball! The Titleist is great, but Srixon's yellow is just the best.(just talking color)  Taylormade's is not great.

Honestly the only time I can remember using a colored ball was playing putt putt when I was a little kid.

Been playing the Prov1x yellow and Srixon ZStarXV yellow all year. Great balls. Always know which one is mine in the fairway - the furthest.

at one point i had heard the yellow balls were not exactly the same as their counterparts; something about how the outer shell is made and the materials are different in some ways. Is this still true?

I made the switch this summer to the ProV1 yellow and I'm not looking back.  Easy to spot in flight and on the course and I love the feel/performance.

definitely not true of the ProV1 or ProV1x and for a large majority of premium balls. The only ones I am aware of that are different are Maxfli Tour Yellow (which is painted yellow) and have heard anecdotally that they aren't as durable. However matte balls are different from glossy counterparts, these will perform differently when moisture is involved

It might be my imagination but I feel like the yellow ball is clickier than the white. They also scuff up differently, say when you hit a long bunker shot or clip a cart path.

 

I don't notice a difference in performance so it's mostly in my head.

I started playing them this year as it drives my crazy when others hit my ball or bump it.. to see if it's there's 

When I do play white balls I have a logo I put on them with a sharpie.. 

They don't bother me a bit and I will Continue to play yellow balls in the future

I play yellow and white balls but moving to mostly all yellow.  Have some white balls to get through and then it's all yellow for me.  

 

I think I read that Titleist was slow to release the yellow ProV1 because it wasn't behaving exactly the same as the white ball and they needed extra time to perfect it.

I like yellow in prov1 (found), and chrome soft and bridgestone rx yellows (bought). All 3 work well except now as more are playing yellow you still run into the problem of making sure you play the right ball on course.

i am playing avx yellow, so decided to get a dozen pro v1 yellow, so gonna play both and see what works best for me

Performance is identical to the white PROV1 BUT you get an advantage in that you can track it easier on cloudy days. The yellow is easy to track and spot. But I do understand that some people just can't mentally deal with a color other than white.

Agreed, certainly the best part of playing yellow. Ball flights look cool too
