What is your single most expensive club?

For better or worse, my putter cost the most, but I figure it's one of the only clubs I have that I can use forever. By the time I die, I hope to get the cost per round down to a few cents.

I paid full freight for a ping g400 lst with the tour S shaft in it when it came out. $429+ tax or something like that. Drove 3 hours to Columbus, Ohio to get it.  Sold it  on here 2 weeks later for about $375. Horrible fit.

Driver, but putter is not far off:

 

Driver was $375 used plus a $250 used Ventus shaft = $625

Putter was $300 new plus a $200 new Stability shaft = $500 and more like $550 with grip and customization.

 

Putter was the most expensive considering that it's not even in my bag right now and is currently getting beat out by a stock Ping.

My current driver "cost" something like $270 from Global Golf but I actually paid for it by trading in a variety of old clubs I wasn't using. Almost no cash out of pocket. I'd not have bought it if I actually had to spend $270 of real money and not trade-in credit.

 

So actual money I guess it would be one of my $159 Vokey wedges. Wedge grooves wear out so fast it's not really worth it to buy used ones and nowadays the brand name wedges are priced pretty high. Occasionally 2ndswing has "9.5 condition" Vokeys which are basically new (often new in plastic) on sale for maybe $130-ish so I grab those when I can.

Broseph. That’s bad.   Sound slot GSS flowneck. Nothing like it.    I’m right there with ya.  Although I didn’t pay near what  mine is worth.  The birdie Kill number is outrageous already.   So yes. Will be a few Cents a round in time.

I've probably wasted over a grand in the last two years buying, giving up on, and selling various 3/4/5 woods to find the right mix of flight and distance. It is without a doubt the hardest club to fit for me and I'm still trying out a couple more shafts.

Tsi4 driver with AF was about 1400 all in.  Worth it.

 

Mine is Mavrik Max with AutoFlex & I have zero regrets. Had to drop some head weight to get it really working but I absolutely love it.

Certainly adjusted for time, a PRGR 200i I ordered off the original infomercial mid- to late-90's.  $400 delivered. 3 iron, 19*, with the M-45 shaft.  Tremendous value for me - back in the day I could hit it 260.  Still have, and still game occasionally (although not 260 anymore!).  Bought one with a softer shaft off the bay last year, but just not the same.
