That deep face looks so good. I’m guessing they’re targeting the higher selling units. 3 woods are probably a safer bet. I’ve seen pics of some HL 3 woods too. I think this should have been their players version tbh. They have 4 retail drivers. May as well have 4 retail fairways.

I checked out his blog and didn’t see much specifically on the 3 wood. My guess is these are still under embargo. So, they’ll be tight lipped about them until that’s up.

I may order the driver and 3 metal as long as there is not a 6 month wait.  Seems like it would be a fun experiment.

callaways tour offerings are stick to that mid spin profile surprisingly. The tour triple diamond heads have a slightly higher spin profile than the retail sub zero heads do

Isn’t the tour 3 wood surprisingly high spin as well considering how deep the face is? I thought I’ve heard it’s nothing like the 3 deep from the old X Hot line. It was designed to give Rahm the head shape he wanted but spins more to fit his trappy impact. At least I thought I read that somewhere.

this is what I thought as well. It was because of his delivery on the 3 wood. The heel to toe camber allows him to go down trap it

Johnny W from Callaway said multiple times the FW TD would never come out but I guess Callaway got a lot of requests and decided to finally get this out.  Maybe the sales of the TD Retail driver showed it could be valuable.

So callaway did away with the subzero model and reintroduced it as the TD LS this year for retail. Last year they released nothing in that spot but then did a post launch limited TD and TDLS release. 
 

Seems this year they are doing both things - but STILL not releasing the standard TD model.
