Fowler Becoming Jay Don Blake of the Modern Era?

Fowler burst onto the scene and quickly made his first Ryder Cup appearance in 2010. In 2016 he had his biggest victory to date with the Players Championship. But since then it's been a long and steady decline into mediocrity. This coincides with an influx of younger and better talent, including:

Fowler's shtick with the 70's porn stash and longish hair no longer looks cool, and more like out of touch with the top tier, a lot like journeyman Jay Don Blake did in the 70's and 80's.

JDB has a greater chance at being remembered than Ricky at the moment. Unless Rickie wins a major or something. But with the competition now how can anyone like Rickie's chances?

I got to meet JDB one year out at the Farmers and a few years later his sister was on or staff at the GC he came out from time to time if he was in the area, real nice guy, real nice family, good golf swing, I think he battled some nagging injuries and never regained the form he had

Ricky Fowler.  Players champ, reportedly a big winner in the athletes village in Rio, and married to a female pole vaulter(where it seems being hot is a prerequisite to even try the sport.)

Not sure if that's true.  Last I knew, JDB was mainly a golfer, 5M+ net worth.  Before golf Ricky was a known MOTOCROSS rider with sponsor income, so touched a broader pop segment, and I won't go into larger 30M+ net worth.
